Finnabair's product lines with Prima are simply incredible! From Art Basics to Mechanicals, to art tools, and everything in between, you'll find Finnabair is a world-renowned name in the craft industry.
Today we are rounding up a few of Finn's design team's favorite projects of 2017! We asked the artists a few questions:
1) What was your favorite project in 2017?
2) Have you learned/discovered anything new in your creative lives this year?
3) Do you have any art dreams or plans for the next year?
Here are their answers (with photos + links attached!)
My favourite project for 2017 was my "Season of Colour" art journal for "Get Messy Art Journal". For the first time all year, I filled a whole journal in the six week season and loved (almost) every page. "Get Messy" is an art journaling community that works on six week seasons with prompts provided each week that are incredibly inspiring. I began art journaling because of it, so they hold a very dear place in my heart.

Here is a flip through of the completed journal and one of my favourite art journal spreads of the year.
This year has been a huge growth year for me. I have written and produced my own online class (Messy Pages). This was a steep learning curve for me and it has increased my desire to share my experiences and to spread the word about art journaling. I also dipped my toes into the world of 'off the page' art and began working on canvases and other substrates. I have explored many new and fun mediums and learned to express myself in yet another way.
My plans and dreams for 2018 include learning more and more about art supplies and techniques. I will also be further developing "Brush Magazine", which I created as a way of celebrating artists from around the world. The magazine has been a long term dream of mine and it finally became a reality in September this year. My dream is for the magazine to be sold all over the world in art stores and news agencies as a way of spreading the word about art, and in particular art journaling. ~ Tanyalee Kahler

My favourite project this year were the tags I created while playing with Rust and Patina Effect Pastes. These products were a wonderful discovery for me and I'm still feeling inspired by them. There are so many incredible possibilities the Pastes offer! For me it's very important that the materials and media can be used in different angles. I love change and new opportunities!
This year I discovered that I like to teach, inspire people and share my love for art and creativity and excellent media from Finnabair of course. :)
My favorite project this year is a mixed media canvas that I created as my first inspiration in the Finnabair Team.
This year I came to understand that all the obstacles are only in my head. So, I decided to let go off them, simply enjoy the creative process, and let myself have fun with discovering and learning new techniques. For example I'm learning to draw and it brings me real happiness!
My plans for next year are to reach for my art journal and sketchbook more often, to draw and make collages. I also want to improve and find new ways to express myself in my favorite vintage and rustic style. Blog link: http://vitaya-v-oblakah.blogspot.ru/2017/11/charming-treasure.html ~Juliya Tirskaya
One of my favorite projects this year is this layout I created for Finnabair Creative Team. Mostly I love the sense of freedom I managed to capture and express in this work. I also love the Patina Pastes I used here and the accents of Melange Art Pebbles covered with Finnabair paints.
In 2017 I was really thrilled to discover many uses of Patina and Rust Pastes, I love to experiment with them and use them in many unusual creative ways in all kinds of art projects.
My art plans for 2018 are to create at least 1 art journal spread a week. I miss this so much. I love to express myself on art journal spreads and pages, it makes me feel free. ~ Marta Turska-Grochocka
