Christmas ornaments make the whole world sparkly and shimmery and simply MAGICAL! Today we want to share how you can make a few special ornaments for a gift, or just to adorn your own tree!
"It could be so fun to create a Christmas tree embellishment by yourself. But, it's even more fun when you can recycle something really useless and turn it to a beautiful piece. To create this ball I used an empty adhesive tape roll. :). You are welcome to watch the process in my video tutorial below." ~ Ola

"I just love creating decor to hang on our Christmas tree. And covering them in glitter, pretty flowers, and embossing powder is just so much fun. Plus they always make for beautiful handmade gifts." ~ Anita

"Looking for an inexpensive and fun idea for creating Christmas ornaments? I used IOD moulds, gold doilies, watercolor paper, and a few baubles to create these elegant beauties! A touch of Finnabair glitters and waxes lend a sparkly touch, and allow you to customize these to fit your decor palette." ~ Sharon
Gather your supplies!
Directions:
1. Press clay or cold porcelain into moulds, release design carefully by popping edges free first. Set aside to air dry for a bit.
2. Glue doilies together. Just flip them around if you want more white showing. I also used Prima doily dies with watercolor paper to lend strength and stability to the ornament. Make sure you add doilies to the back, as well, so your ornament is gorgeous if it spins around on the tree.
3. Arrange molded medallion and doilies. Adhere them together. It's okay if the medallion is still slightly wet.
4. Next brush white gesso over ornament. While still wet sprinkle gold, silver, and white glitter on top.
5. Air dry, then rub waxes over medallion as desired. I used white gold, old silver, and vintage gold waxes. Add baubles. I used Prima Adornments, MH Diamond Stones, and Ranger pearls to make my ornaments extra special.
