This month our girls on the Finnabair design team decided to all create art journal spreads focusing on using different Finnabair's stamps, resist canvas elements, and stencils. Just wait until you see each personality come to life! That's the beauty of art journaling...you really can express yourself in sich a beautiful way.

"Hello, friends! It's Marta here and I am so happy that I can be a part of this amazing "Prima Art Recipe" Team again! This time I have for you a special and interesting form - an art journal spread. It is created in an old book and it has this special vintage touch which I love! Old books have this special dusty smell and pages are in beautiful sepia shade. You can easily create a very special vintage project on beautiful pages of an altered book."
"First of all, prepare some resist canvas and color it with any medium you like. It can be paint or mist - it is better when you use a lot of water as color mixed with a touch of water is more transparent. Tip: Use some gesso on your pages, it prepares your pages for mixed-media experiments."
"Then, create! :) Use the beautiful doily stencil with Light Paste and embossing powder to create a 3D look. Then add thread, tissue tape, old book's pages, or anything you like! I've built my composition using old printed paper, Resist Canvas, and watercolor paper, painted pink. I've added a piece of a thread and a few canvas letters, decor clay elements, and a vintage photo of a girl. In the end I used stamps with prints and letters. In many of my works I love to use stamps here and there just to add an accent of color and pattern."
"I love to create art journal spreads. It always gives me a feeling of freedom and a moment to create something beautiful and just for me."

"Hi there, lovely friends, it's such a joy to share with you my part of art journaling take on this month's Art Recipe! Art journaling can be an amazing tool for self-discovery and cultivating your creativity. Here everything's allowed; you don't have to worry about rules, simply let your imagination take the lead and express yourself freely!"
"How to live without stamps and stencils? For me, it's impossible! :) I'm a texture maniac and I often use these products in my works. Finnabair offers a variety of beautiful patterns and I think thanks to them you can add beautiful textures and create a unique look in your artworks.
It's the same with stamps - you can choose from many great patterns and I personally, love all the sentiments - their messages speak to my soul..."
"I really like creating projects on and with resist canvas. I don't have to worry about the amount of inks and media because canvas is so much more resistant than paper. Plus the designs are so lovely and versatile - you can use the whole sheet or cut and tear it to pieces, color any way you want, stamp on it and use canvas decorations in all kinds of projects, not only in a journal."

"Hello, my friends! I felt really inspired with this month's Art Recipe because I love creating with Finnabair's stamps. They give so much freedom for your creativity and work fantastic in art journals. This time I wanted to use bright colors to express my emotions! And when I used Impasto paints, I felt like a real artist! :)"
"I started my project with the idea of having butterflies on flowers. I took the circles from my favorite set of stamps "Do not forget to fly", cut them out, and put together to create my flowers. Then I painted some of them with Impasto paint. "
"I wanted my background to be really vibrant and Impasto paints are just perfect here! When the paints were dry, I applied some Modeling Paste through "Honeycomb" and "Doily2" stencils for extra texture. A little bit of White Gold Wax (I love this shade!) here and there to enhance the texture of paints and my background was ready."
"I put together different sizes of stamped butterflies and my flowers were made out of circles. I also added elements from "Now is the Right Time" set - hearts and sentiments. These inspirational words ring so true and are really beautiful..."
