The amazing Finn team is here with their June Recipe that will hopefully put everyone into a summertime-seaside-holiday mood!! The Finn girls picked out a seaside theme, with a little bit of a sentimental feel to it. Our product heroes this month are: Art Stones (all sizes: mega, regular and mini) + Impasto Paints (mainly blues palette) = amazing mixed-media!!
"Hi there, lovely friends, it's such a joy to share with you all my take on this month's Art Recipe! The theme 'Summer' took me back a few years - happy memories! I went back to my childhood, sand between my toes, hot sunny seaside beaches where with my bucket and net at the ready. I'd paddle for hours in search of tiny sea creatures and precious treasures..." ~ Kassa Hayselden
"I'll let you into my latest color crush secret - it's the new Impasto Paint in Jade. Mixed and merged with Cobalt, Azure and Green Apple, it makes for a mesmerizing Mediterranean sea. To create movement, a color wash with the Snow White is topped off with a color wash with the Sparks Fairy Wings. This gives the matte Impasto paints a sun kissed sparkle! And why not try mixing the Snow White Impasto Paint with a little Texture Powder?! The result is a brilliant white paste, which I used through the Bubbles stencil!"
"The simplicity of the new Mega Art Stones make for an uncomplicated, yet stunning detail. I adhered with 3D Matte Gel and clustered alongside the smaller Art Stones. Then, simply dribble with a dash of Art Alchemy Paints, and sprinkle with a few Micro-Beads for even more magical detail. To make them stand out a little more, dab with Sparks, and dust with glitter."
"I loved trying out all my various different paints to see how they sit together on one piece of work. The Watercolor Confections add a soft, whispery, yet colorful touch. The Art Alchemy Metalliques and Sparks both, in their own unique ways, added a magical drama that can be so hard to achieve. And the Opaque Impasto Paints, highly pigmented in a range of rich luxurious colors, are thick and creamy, add texture, or when watered down, are so smooth like butter... I adore them all, especially as they create such 'Happy Art'. :)"

"Hello, friends! It's Marta here and what I have for you today is an altered brush! I love to alter objects that people use every day and give them a new and unique soul. Today my brush is filled with summer memories from the ocean's shore." ~ Marta Turska-Grochocka
"I used some old buttons and glass Art Pebbles to create some cool textures, but the most important move was to use Art Stones! I started with the largest size of Art Stones that I adhered with 3D Matte Gel. Later, I added some medium sized Art Stones and, in the end, the tiny ones."
"I covered the whole brush with a layer of Heavy White Gesso to make sure that the paints would properly cover my Art Stones and the whole surface of the brush. I used Azure and Jade Impasto Paints and applied them with a brush. For an accent, I used some water to create interesting looking drips. Finally, I added some Art Alchemy Waxes to accent the buttons and the lovely textures of Art Stones. This brush makes me think of childhood, summers on a sandy beach, and the smell of the ocean."
