Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease, and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure. You can read more about BCAM and NBCAM here. For our part, we wanted to showcase a few beautiful, uplifting projects that feature the color pink, some with inspiring quotes. These projects would make wonderful gifts for someone that you know who is fighting breast cancer.
Strength. Courage. Perseverance. No one willingly chooses to be in this battle. Yet, so many of us have friends and relatives in the midst of fighting it right now. Let's reach out to them and encourage them. Let's make a difference in this world for good! Let's dare to spread our wings a bit and offer a touch of comfort to those battling this horrible disease.
Hello, everybody! Today I would like to share my mixed-media canvas. I really like pink because it is a sign of hope. It is a positive color inspiring warm and comforting feelings, a sense that everything will be okay. I created a simple composition with amazing and very beautiful resins from Relics & Artifacts. I used Molding Paste and I created a textured background with stencil circles. I also used Prima Watercolors for this project. I love how these sweet watercolors come in a darling little tin that you can also use as a palette. I could not forget about coffee. Finally I added my favourite metal supplies. ~ Monika

Inspirational quotes can be so uplifting. They give a sense of purpose, and a great reminder to take our focus back to the bigger picture when dealing with daily struggles. Today Riikka shares a fabulous project created with one of Prima's inspirational quote stencils.
When I first saw the 9.5x12 stencils with inspirational texts, I immediately thought about their use in scrapbooking! In this page, I wanted to combine the important reminder with a layout for my younger daughter. I picked a photo that resonated with the “go” as she’s playing with her kick scooter, but naturally, I meant the saying in a broader sense. To keep the text readable, I added everything else to the side of the page and kept the background otherwise untreated with any mediums. If you wish to see how I made the layout, please see the Snapguide for instructions!" ~ Riikka Kovasin

Making choices. Yes, circumstances are often difficult and overwhelming, especially when fighting a disease. Yet, we can take that, set ti aside mentally, and still choose happiness. Choose to keep putting one foot in front of the other, no matter what is swirling around us. Find a few wonderful people who can help lift you up and fight this battle alongside you.
"I created this quick and easy Birthday Card for a friend! I'll be mailing this with a gift, so I wanted to make it extra special. How I did it: I used the Spills cling stamps and some watercolor for my background. Next, I added a spray inked resist tag, with a sticker from the Rossibelle Collection. I also added the orange sticker 'Oh Happy Day' to the front of the card too! I adhered some of the Sweet Peppermint Snow Roses to the card to finish it off. I love them! I'll be including the stemmed flowers too and the inspiring quote card as part of the gift." ~ BonitaRose

You can help increase breast cancer awareness too! Reach out to someone suffering and brighten their day with a card, a phone call, or a bouquet of flowers. And thank you for making this world a more beautiful place to live in.
Simply gorgeous! Thank you for caring and for helping to increase awareness! As someone who has had breast cancer, not once but TWICE, it is important to get the word out! Thank you for the inspiration!
