May's Guest Designer Is....

As you can see our guest this month is from the fabulously huge country of Australia! This country is literally filled with major talent in the papercraft industry. It is simply overwhelming! Today we are so honored to show off just one of those talented designers with you. Come meet our June Guest Designer!

 

 

"Hi there! My name is Di Garling & I come from "down under" in Australia. I have been scrapbooking for over ten years. I owned & operated a scrapbook shop for eight years, where I also taught classes five times a week throughout that time. I sold my shop and retired in 2014, and I have to say I love having all this extra time to be creative, although I still teach there once a week."

 

"Over the years I have been fortunate enough to be on many design teams and I have made so many wonderful friends from around the world.  In January this year I collaborated with some other scrappy friends & we started up our own challenge blog, called "More Than Words", so all this keeps me pretty busy and I wouldn't have it any other way."  Here's Di's blog for even more beautiful Prima creations:  discreativespace.blogspot.com.au 

 

Di created two very special projects for us today using our BAP and PPP challenges for May! You can find those right here. First up is the gorgeous layout based on our Build-A-Page sketch! We just love how Di creates a garden with our flowers (including a little bird nest with eggs inside!)...without overwhelming those precious photos! The colors are vibrant; the techniques are so fun; and the design is fabulous!

May's PPP was filled with bright colors. Di translated it perfectly with her amazing layout featuring lots of Royal Menagerie blooms, mixed-media background techniques with Finnabair's line, and topped off with delightful Prima embellishments...like the vellum butterfly and resin birdhouse!
