We're here with two brand-new challenges for May! Gorgeous and bright, this month's Prima Product Pick encases fresh sights of springtime (and would be perfect for a Mother's Day tribute!) Everyone loves a splash of bright pink, but pair it with softer tones of butter yellow, peachy-pink, or a toned-down turquoise and you have a color combination that is absolutely gorgeous!
So which Prima products can you use? Besides the ones in the collage, picture flowers adorning your projects, with splashes of turquoise, sunshine yellow, and perfect peaches. Don't forget to pull out your resist tags and color away. Or add our super shiny beautiful foils (we just did a huge post on how to use those yesterday), a touch of curly wire thread to pull everything together, and a bit of Golden Chalkboard Paint! Once you try the chalkboard paint you are going to wonder how you ever lived without it. It provides the perfect finish, not too matte and not too glossy, to any surface. We think you're going to love our team's projects so let's get this show on the road! (Photo Creds: Vans, Door)
"I just fell in love with this month's Prima Product Pick the minute I saw it!! The colours are so fun, fresh, and bright, right up my alley. I created a canvas piece on a Prima Watercolor Panel. I just love the way all of the mixed-media products worked on this panel. I started out with the idea of a birdcage (bottom right-hand side) and then the project progressed from there and, of course, I had to layer loads of beautiful Prima flowers." ~ Stacey Young

We've been trying really hard to provide sketches with more than one photo! Don't get us wrong...one photo pages are amazing, but this sketch will allow you to include at least one or two more pictures. If you love stripes you are going to really LOVE this page. Riikka included beautiful florals on the background (think Ink N' Layer stamps!), plus lovely stripes on the bottom half (washi tape, patterned paper, stencils, what else could you use to create those?) The sky is really the limit when it comes to interpreting the BAP sketch to fit your style and your photos! So show us what you've got! We'd love to include your work on our next BAP winner's post!
"It’s so fun to use the sketch that one has self-made! When I make the sketch I might have a completely different idea in my mind of the end result than when I actually scrapbook it. This time I wanted to merge the sweet patterns of the “Tales of You and Me” and “Vintage Emporium” collections with some grungy paintwork. Instead of using two photos I cut my photo in two presenting the two musicians in our family." ~ Riikka Kovasin

Did we mention how versatile our challenges are? We try really hard to make them usable for any craft genre! Today Miranda Edney used the BAP sketch to create this tag set! She just knocked out one of the "photos" and used the rest of the sketch to help her place her embellies. Keep scrolling to see Miranda work her BAP magic!
Miranda even put a video together for you! Isn't our DT amazing? They love creating and sharing with all of you!
