That's right! One of our very own gals decided to re-do her creative space and was so generous to show-off Prima products on every single project and area! Just wait until you see what Miranda Edney has done! Today we are going to show a few peeks. Then keep an eye out on Mondays for additional posts showing her more of her studio and the transformation! Miranda has multiple videos, Snapguides, and TONS of gorgeous photos showing how she used multiple Prima lines to add a beautiful urban-chic look to her new and improved scrap studio! We will showcase special pieces Miranda updated and added personality to...like this amazing storage piece, below. It was such a unique piece, that was so cool and fit her room style; however, it looked a bit bland before she worked her magic on it!
Introduce Yourself:
Hello, Prima lovers! My name is Miranda, from sunny Florida. And I LOVE all things creative! If I am not creating (wahhh lol), I am a nanny to three gorgeous young lads, who keep me young. I also LOVE to read and play games of all sorts! Also, I am a big outer space nerd. hehe. I was meant to be an astronaut, but it just didn't happen! hehe! I hope to inspire you all to get creative in your craft rooms, or ANY room in your home. :)
What Inspired You:
I was completely inspired to redo my room when I saw the new line from IOD this last release. I had kind of "given up" on my space. Our place is much much older, and full of blemishes and "bad spots" in my craft room. I had long ago given up "pretty" for functional. But, I just knew with some work, and paint, hehe, and the IOD range, I could do better! Oh, and lots of de-cluttering!!!!!
What's Your Style:
My style is very much Industrial Chic. I love metal with something soft as well. And this new range really lent itself well to this style!
How Did The Products Help You Define Your Style:
Using the Roller Stamps and Decor Ink on some re-salvaged pallet wood + my metal pieces really helped tie my room together. The Décor Rub-Ons are a dream come true! Sooo simple to add those to any and everything! And when the IOD stuff was done, coming back in with my other Prima goodies, like Oil Pastels, and other mediums to tie it all in was very easy! I also really wanted to display my Prima goodies in a functional, yet chic way! Prima Prima Prima. It's EVERYWHERE! lol.
Any Mishaps You'd Like To Share:
I had a few mishaps along the way, but I only ended up trashing one thing! I was determined to turn the mistakes into something amazing! Take my door, for example: I had only intended to stamp with the Louis Stamp Set (such a large, gorgeous set). But, in the back of my mind I thought it needed something else. When I was done, I walked outside and saw these metal grating pieces on the ground, scrapped, by my honey's shop. Ding! We framed it out and added it on top of the door. So, now you see that gorgeous stamping still, plus the metal to lend an Industrial look. (We will show this magical door in an upcoming feature!)
Tips You Want To Share?
My best tip for anyone wanting to re-do their space would be to STOP striving for "perfection." We are too hard on ourselves! I mean I have saved a million items to my Pinterest boards thinking my room would look "this way" or "that way." In the end It became "my way", and I am so happy with it! I am still redoing some areas. In fact, just since these photos and tuts, we have added a small futon couch in there. hehe! I think just giving yourself some slack, taking time to breathe, and taking a few small steps at a time WILL help you get there! :)
So I want to know just how easy it is to transform those boring pieces in your craft room!!!!
I love this little unit that holds my supplies, but I wanted to add a little oomph to it!
Just a few quick steps, and a few main supplies were all I needed: IOD's Décor Ink, Roller Stamps, Moulds & Clay. :)
After rolling, painting, adding clay pieces, and stamping it has a whole new look! ~ Miranda
OMG...It is very inspiring ,I love it !

This is going to be an absolutely amazing series!! I am also redoing a room thanks to the IOD collection of stamps and moulds! It is so exciting knowing that I am going to be able to make each element myself instead of spending lots of money buying things! I know I am going to be learning a lot from this series and look forward to seeing the entire redo!
