Each month Finnabair brings us a brand-new Art Recipe so we can mix up wondrous goodies in our mixed-media kitchen! March's Art Recipe is filled with luck and splendor! Beautiful Art Alchemy paints mixed with shimmery silver and green glass glitters + a touch of White Crackle Paste provide a beautiful combination. Make sure you are following Finn on Facebook so you can catch all of her projects, news, and updates!
For me spring has always been the right time for a change, rebirth, personal awakening. Leave the bitter past behind and start a brand new episode of your life. My canvas is about a strong lady who managed to be daring and courageous. And she´s succeeded.
I started by covering the back side of the canvas with bits of torn cloth and a heavy layer of White Crackle Paste. I let it dry over night. This way you get the most gorgeous crackles on Earth. :)
I did some random stamping using black Archival ink. I also glued on a few bits of vintage washi tape. Then I started to add colours. The right time for new Art Alchemy Acrylics in green and silver. I added sprays in blue, green and grey. I sprinkled some Glass Glitter into the upper corners of the canvas. I made some splashes using black watercolors.
After that I started to build up the cluster. Some metal and resin items were covered with new Rust Paste. I also used quail´s eggs. I love the speckled look. Copper Micro Beads look awesome inside these. Next I added the quote 'Dangerous thoughts were nesting in her mind'. As the last touch I wrapped an old wire around the canvas. That´s it. ~Denisa Gryczova

I applied, with a spatula, four shades of them with the White Crackle Paste and a little bit of White Sand Paste to create the background of my canvas.
I painted all the embellishments with the same colors, and glued everything down with 3D Gloss Gel. The Mica Powders are a perfect match with the White Crackle Paste.
I get really excited when the water activates them, and watch them flow inside the crackles! I used Pale Silver, Green and Bottle Green. I spread some of them here and there with a dry paintbrush and sprayed water.
As a final touch I glued with 3D Gloss Gel, different Art Ingredients (Micro Beads, Glass Beads and Glass Glitter), and the new Art Stones which look so beautifully on spring-themed projects. ~ Athanasia Papantoniou

Inspired by Finnabair's March Art Recipe, I created a piece that would make a nice home décor piece for the new season. How about a spring blooming ball? :)
I took a styrofoam ball and first I painted it with a very beautiful fresh green Art Alchemy acrylic paint (Lime Peel). Here and there I added White Crackle Paste and different sizes of Art Stones to create an interesting and varied texture.
And finally, some sparkle and shine thanks to Art Ingredients like Glass Glitter and Micro Beads. A little bit of wire and paper flowers and voila - I'm ready to create a spring atmosphere in my house. :) ~ Irina Honcharyk
