Meet Our Guest!

 

 

As you can see our guest this month is from the fabulously huge country of Russia! Have you seen the immense talent from the Russian papercrafters lately? It is simply overwhelming! Thus, we are so excited to share our very special guest for March with you! Come meet her!

 

 

 

Hi, my dear friends! My name is Irina. I live in Moscow, the capitol of Russia. I've been married for almost eight years and have two incredible kids who are my greatest inspiration in life! I'm 32 and for the last six years scrapbooking seems to be the hobby of my life.))) Most of my projects are created at the junction of shabby-chic and mixed-media styles. I like to combine different textures and materials in my projects, and to use different techniques. Paints, colors, and flowers are my passion! It's amazing how different shades of one color can completely change the mood of the project! BAP Project:

For the BAP project I've decided to create a canvas (30x30cm) with a mixed-media background and volume flourish composition.  On the photo are my two little kids playing together. I've used different Prima flowers and leaves, resin, metal embellishments, SIIC, trim, die-cut doilies, and other decorative embellishments to create it. I've used a stencil, together with modeling paste and chalkboard paint, to create more texture on the surface.

PPP Project:

When I saw the fresh, juicy March PPP I've immediately decided to create a flourish card. I used different flowers and leaves, die-cut a doily, colored chipboard, paint, and a Shabby Chic Tassel to create my composition. Prima trim added more softness and texture. And, at last moment, I decided to use rhinestones and SIIC to add a sparkle to the project!
