If you've been in the craft industry you all know the special artist we are highlighting today! She's fun. She's talented. And she never ages! Help us welcome the fabulous Suze Weinberg!
Suze, who swears she retired five years ago, still comes to the CHA trade show every year and never stops checking out new products to get her hands on!
An industry icon for over 25 years, Suze is in love with the Relics & Artifacts® line from designer Sandra Evertson. And just recently fell equally in love with the artistry products from Finnabair, so she decided to combine the two for a home décor project.

Suze's project, which depicts her flair for the dramatic, was painted black using Finnabairs black gesso, followed by Opal Magic Acrylic Paint mixed in with Heavy Body Gel.
One-by-one Suze placed the Relics & Artifacts® flowers onto the frame, then added copper micro-beads from Finnabair, finishing with small rhinestone embellishments from Kabela Jewelry Design Co.
The flowers were painted with Finnabair's Opal Magic Acrylic Paint in two different colors, resulting in a magical effect depending on how the light reflects off of them.
An angelic host is watching over her new garden of flowers. Created with a Relics & Artifacts archangel + wings, Suze added ribbon and other special touches. The sun is shining on the sides of the frame using Relics & Artifacts gold rosette Dresden Trim cut in half. It adds a gilded effect and makes the project really dimensional on all sides.
Accents, like this Memory Hardware Cloche draw your eye to the top of the piece and add gorgeous texture and dimension.
Thank you, Suze, for your fun project, your enthusiasm for Sandra and Finn's lines, and for sharing your super talented self with us!
If you'd like to see more of Suze's art work, or see where she is traveling to next, please check out her blog right here, or her Etsy shop " Fancy Schmancy", or add her on Facebook!
Thank you for sharing Suze's inspiration. I love the Relics and Artifacts line too!

I love Suze Weinberg!! I met her about 15 to 20 years ago at the rubber chicken and purfect stamps in Maryland where I was lucky enough to take classes with her. I still have all of her glitters and beads and every project I made in the classes. And I specifically remember her telling me to take class the following week with an up-and-coming young man, which I did, (Tim Holtz). Suze was the first "famous"designer I had the opportunity to take classes with. She was at that time and remains a fabulous designer and so fun to take classes with. I had fun pictures that I took with her as well as fond memories !! Happy to see you here On Prima!!! Love your project!
