"I have for you a layout on white cardstock. The painted heart is the focus point of my background. For this heart I used the new & amazing Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints - Royal Red and Steampunk Copper. Next, I created some texture using Light Paste with a stencil. To add the colors, I made sprays mixing Mica Powders with water."~ Kasia Bogatko http://www.kasiabogatko.com/
"I mixed Art Stones with 3D Matte Gel and glued them in several places on my project. After drying I covered it all with White Gesso and added colors with Mica Powder mists. At the end I thinned Black Gesso with a little bit of water and made some splashes."

"First I gathered some small wooden and metal embellishments to create my composition. To color I used Black Gesso first, then I painted it with five new Finnabair Art Alchemy Acrylic Paints. As my final touch I added some small metal embellishments from new Mechanicals line."

"One of my favorite color combinations is Red, Black, Ivory and Gold. So when I opened my jar of Metallique Royal Red Acrylic Paint, I knew it was perfect."~ Linda M. Cain http://cain81art.blogspot.ie
"I chose a paper mache box that had a frame top, to which you can add a picture, and a embossed bottom. I painted the bottom first with Black Gesso, and then Opal Magic Rose Gold. When dry, I added another coat of Heavy Black Gesso. Let the Gesso sit until it’s partially dry, and then use a baby wipe to remove the black paint from just the raised areas. This leaves the Rose Gold paint and a distressed black background."
"I painted the lid and 4 chipboard pieces with the Royal Red. The brilliance of this metallic paint is amazing. Using Black Gesso, I dry-brushed the edges over the red paint. To decorate the sides I applied Soft Gloss Gel in the recessed areas, and added a mixture of Glass Glitter and Micro Beads. Here it is mostly Copper Glass Glitter and Silver Micro Beads. And the last things to add are the Mini Art Stones and Art Stones.
The heart was painted with the Steampunk Copper and a Royal Red heart was painted in the middle. The center was covered with matching red Glitter from the Crimson Collection and a bit of Copper Glass Glitter. Then the Mini Art Stones were used to create an outline around the heart."
"I painted the gold corner piece with Black Gesso, let it dry a bit, and wipe with a soft cloth leaving paint in the recessed areas. Royal Red paint on the Mini Knobs, the Tin Heart, and the corner add contrast. Two of the Mini Stars and some Art Stones plus 2 black clock hands are added with Heavy Body Gel. I colored the little gal with some watercolor pens to make her stand out more.
So there you have it. These are really pretty simple steps to use your Art Alchemy paints on metal, paper mache, wood, and many other surfaces, as well as adding Art Stones to projects right out of the jar. And I’ve always got to use the Black Gesso…..it’s a staple!"

Hey Randi! You can mix the texture powder in with any gesso, gel, or paint to add thickness, and texture to your projects. It is amazing how different it looks on an altered piece, over a stencil, or just brushed on here and there. We have fine texture powder, mini art stones, and large art stones...all mixable with other Finn products!
