Today is a BIG day! We're wrapping up our 12 Days of Christmas challenge! What will our true love bring to us today? CRACKLE PASTES by Finnabair! Yes, these miraculous bottles will add interesting color, texture, and design to your projects.
They really are simple to use if you have never tried them before. 1. Simply apply paste to project. A thicker application=thicker, wider cracks, while a thinner application = finer, thinner cracks. 2. Let crackle paste air dry for best results. That's it! When the paste is dry it produces wonderfully "crackles" all over the surface it was applied to! Try clear crackle to mimic ice, while the gold, silver, white, platinum, and copper crackles presents a festive touch for the holidays. Whatever your color choice we have a crackle paste ready for you!
"I decided it would be fun to up-cycle an old bauble with crackle pastes, wanting to create an icy frost effect. I painted over the ornament with white crackle paste, then rubbed over the dry surface with Deep Teal Color Bloom (which I sprayed onto a wet wipe to apply.)" ~ Fran Westmoreland
"Clear crackle has transformed the chipboard numbers (ancient Prima from my stash!) to give a cracked ice effect. The holly leaves also got the crackle treatment with some platinum crackle paint and, again, I highlighted with watercolor pencils once dry." Tip: crackle paste works best when you leave it to dry naturally, creating all those fabulous fine cracks, whereas drying with heat tools gives a larger, fainter crack.
