Color takes a grey world and adds beauty and personality to it. With just three primary colors and three secondary colors, you would think that the number of colors possible would be easy to count. But, there is really no limit to color when viewed with the human eye...which makes art so fascinating and so interesting! Of course we ALL have our favorite colors. And, even more, we have our favorite color combinations. Today we chose just three of our favorite color palettes from Pinterest to explore. What a fabulous point of inspiration for a project! Wait until you see what our fabulous DT created with them!
Grape, lime, navy, burgundy...all bold colors on their own, but stunningly beautiful when mixed together! Camilla chose this beautiful palette as the base for her amazing card!
"Color can be so fun! I choose the first color palette. I really love the gorgeous blues together with the lime green...which is perfect for the Royal Menagerie line. It makes such a fantastic combination for any project, but gives a great punch to a card!" ~Camilla Ekman
Prima Products: 847432 Royal Menagerie 6x6 Paper Pad, 582593 Royal Menagerie 3x4 Journaling Note Cards, 583309 Royal Menagerie Elizabeth flowers, 583323 Royal Menagerie Beatrix flowers, 582081 Prima Nikko flowers, 585006 Paper Doilies, 570392 Say It in Crystals, cardstock, seam binding.
Our next color combination is softer to the eye, lending a calming, whitewashed presence. Tiffany Solorio chose this beautiful set to create a stunning layout featuring the Epiphany paper collection!
Using neutrals for the backdrop allowed Tiffany to add her signature mixed-media touches: stamping, stencils, and art mediums all add texture, color, and contrast to the page. Color Bloom sprays (in
deep and
soft teal and
tea stain) and
Prima flowers provide the gorgeous colors from the palette.

Switching over to a cooler color palette, this pick is filled with sunshine, blue skies, and a few wispy clouds! This proved to be a popular set with our gals, each using it in their own unique style!
"This was a color combination that really appealed to me. I wanted to mimic the soft background in the inspiration photo. Putting my layout on
resist canvas allowed me to do that. It also let the photo and the embellishments take center stage." ~Robbie Herring
Tip: After you have colored your
resist canvas and let it dry, attach it to a piece of cardstock to make it easier to place in your albums.

Jing, and blossoms from the Bloom Collection. A variety of vibrant

I love what the addition of chartreuse does for other colours. It's been my favourite colour for the past 15 years or so. It's so sunny and lively.
