Rise & Shine!

Of course we were itching to try the Mica Powders out ourselves! It's so fun to play around and achieve different glimmery effects. Just wait until you see what Tiffany Solorio created. Scroll down for details and a full step-by-step created just for YOU!

1. Start off with a canvas measuring 5"X7". Add a coat of clear gesso. (I used the 3/4 brush from Finnabair's Bush set.)
2. Add clear crackle by scraping it on with a palette knife. Carefully dry with a heat tool (or you can also let it air dry.)
3. Randomly add paste over a stencil with a palette knife. Dry.
4. Randomly stamp with Prima stamps and Staz-on ink on to the canvas. 
5. Add Mica powders in Rust and Teal. Use a palette knife and splatter (or dust) the powders on randomly over the project.
6. Spray the canvas with water to spread the powders around. You can also use a waterbrush for more controlled "splatter." Add more as desired.  Once you like how it looks- heat set it!
7. Choose any photo from the Finnabair ephemera pack, along with a new metal embellishments to add to the side of the photo. Stamp another butterfly, add a touch of Mica powder to it, heat set, and cut out.  Place on top of the metal piece.
