We thought it'd be nice to shake things up a bit and give a whole post to our amazing Guest Designers this time around! We are so excited to introduce our first incredible guest designer, whose work caught our eye! We know you'll agree with us that her style and techniques are absolutely incredible. Help us welcome Nastya Istorkina from Ukraine!
Hello! My name is Nastya Istorkina and I'm addicted with scrapbooking. This year I'm enjoying the magic of transformation. I like when old and useless things become a piece of art. I give them a second life. And it excites me! I also like to create layouts that tell stories. For me, scrapbooking is not just a hobby, it's a way of life. Every day I create something beautiful. And I think that ideas simply cannot run out!
I'm really happy to become a guest designer for Prima Marketing this year. And my biggest dream is to become a part of such wonderful regular design team. I hope it will happen once. :) Hope you'll like my projects. Thank you! And have a great day! ~Nastya
How's this for a first project to show off? Nastya's INCREDIBLE layout (featuring a lovely turquoise background paper from Firefly) is beyond gorgeous, and uses July's BAP sketch as the base. The color palette is soft and soothing, but the whole design is FILLED to the brim with so many fun techniques.
Just peek at all the little items Nastya includes on her project without overwhelming it! Stenciling, stamping, Say It In Crystals, Prima leaf die-cuts, metals, and gels, Art Sugar, and so much more...let's keep looking!
"I made some texture on the paper with paste and stencils. Than I added accents with Color Bloom sprays and some stamps. I love to create multi-layered layouts, so I added many pieces of papers and some elements that I made with Prima's metal dies. Wood, metal, crystal embellishments, some brads, and splashes add details that helped me to reflect a sense of my story. On the layout I told about secrets that have each of us. Huge secrets. "Keep it inside. Don't tell anyone." Not yet the right moment to tell. But, one day, it will no longer be a secret. " ~Nastya

Next up is a breathtaking altered Prima metal clock which Nastya transformed into a summer haven using this month's PPP colors!
I'm not sure we can even count the ideas included on this stunning piece. Filled to the brim with the most gorgeous summer garden, Nastya included so many gorgeous touches to totally transform her clock.
Flowers, metals, canvas, vellum butterflies, alphabets, Say It In Crystals, micro-beads, and so much more...they're ALL perfectly displayed. (My favorite part? The super fun sand hour-glass included. Summer can be fleeting and it's a great reminder to soak in the fun and memories while you can!)
"I love to give a second life for useless things. I made the colorful altered clock. It is about summertime. In fact that people are happier in summer. This clock will be a reminder of summer happiness and bliss. I added an hourglass inside the clock and many flowers, seashells, and pieces of wood from the seaside. It is a real flower bloom inside the clock." ~Nastya
Nastya even transformed the back with gesso, texture pastes, Color Bloom sprays, and ink! What a beautiful, beautiful summer keepsake!
