The Relics and Artifacts collection by Sandra Evertson, is a truly unique and gorgeous line. Today, we are featuring two fabulous projects showcasing these beautiful resins for National Scrapbook Day. The resins can be customized into a piece of art in themselves or incorporated into your art, anyway you like!
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Purple Passion by Sandra Evertson:
This exquisite project by Sandra, is embellished in regal style. The deep, rich violet with flames in warm tones and added found embellishments, make this a stunning piece. This piece was made using the Ex Voto II, all glued together with E6000.
"I used new purple silk velvet to cover the heart portion with some Tacky Glue. Then painted the flames in yellow, gold, orange and red tips for added “heat”...
When I painted the flames portion, I give it a base coat of a bright yellow and then went in with a toothpick to add tiny streaks of orange, gold and red until it looks fiery and finished! Then with E6000, adhere vintage and antique collected broken jewelry bits." ~Sandra Evertson
Flaming Heart Canvas Trio by Finnabair:
Just look at how the Relics and Artifacts-Flaming Heart takes center stage on Anna's trio of canvases. These pieces are a true work of art!
The texture and composition come to life with added color that surrounds her collage of bits and baubles. The Flaming Heart settles in perfectly with all of the added elements and warm tones.

First, I have to mention that the purple heart at the top of the post is unbearably exquisite. I am in serious love with it.
I follow you already on Pinterest and Facebook and get your blog mailings - as well as keep up with all email news! (I'm not a member of Instagram, so don't follow there)
I would use these pieces, as I already have done, on my altered canvas mixed media assemblages. I find they add a regal and fine vintage quality that very few newly manufactured items are capable of doing. I'm so excited abouT them! And, naturally, would adore to win a prize of them, so please throw my naame in your cyber hat ring!

I follow Prima on Facebook. These two projects are breath-taking! I love them both so much! I have some of the Relics but I need more - who doesn't they are so adaptable for so many things! My plan is to create a kind of 'Cabinet of Curiosities' using a variety of techniques including image transfer onto muslin on the hearts; rubber stamping, crackle and other glazes and decoupage using my own art work. Fin and Sandra are both so inspiring! xx
