What's Trending?

They're ALL around us...new trends in colors, shapes, styles, food, clothing, etc. Why not use them in our papercrafts as well? Today two very talented gals have chosen their favorite NEW trend and incorporated them into a brand-new project just for YOU!

Louise has used both the color scheme and the triangle theme from this FAB Pin as inspiration for her layout below. Now how fabulous is that?

 

 

Louise took a subtle approach and used triangular shapes to create texture and subtle definition to both the layout background and embellishments. She trimmed the photo to a triangle shape, created wire thread triangle shapes to frame the photo, used the arrowheads stencil to create dimensional triangles on the background, cut up the metal roman numbers to create triangle shapes, and cut in half square silver metal brads to create smaller triangle shaped metal embellishments!

Metallic and monochromatic color schemes are all the rage! Louise mixed a variety of metals and trendy gray tones to create this stunning mixed media tag, filled with texture that makes your eye want to take it all in.

   

Louise used the Grungy Grid stencil to create subtle texture to the tag background which has been highlighted with Color Bloom Spray mist. Plus, she added subtle visual dimension to the metal embellishments by adding darker colored micro beads in the spaces between the metal flourishes and branches.
