Mix and match the relics for endless possibilities! Each set is designed to fit together to create gorgeous custom designs.
So how easy is it to create with this wonderful line? Let's show you simple to advanced techniques and you can decide!
"This red and white canvas is super simple: just adhere one of the RELICS & ARTIFACTS Visage #941642 pieces to a 4” x4” mini canvas using E6000 adhesive. Coat with a layer of gesso and swipe across the entire piece with one quick, broad stoke to create instant Pop Art!!"
Sandra uses the least expensive craft acrylic paints to color her pieces. "I like to create “watercolor” type washes with them so they work perfectly. I generally use more water than paint on my brush! Once painted the Relics & Artifacts pieces can be used for anything your heart desires!" ~Sandra Evertson
Simple, yet so different. Create custom art work for a gallery wall with pencil work or paint.
Of course you can step them up a notch and add the most glamorous embellies...
...like gems and metals, or silver leafing, for an exquisite touch of extravagance!
Love truth. "I created this patriotic and fun home decor piece with a vintage flag that had seen better days, used a black Sharpie to write inspirational words, and created a simple tassel out of string. Adhere the fabric to a canvas with Fabri-tac or Tacky glue, use a heavy-duty lumber staple nailed into the canvas. Before painting the heart I used Tacky glue to adhere tiny glass beads to the flame portion of the heart, then let it dry completely."
"The Flaming Heart was created using using tones of gold acrylic paint (bright gold, medium tone gold ,and antique gold); three tones of red (dark red, medium red, and light red)... picking up a bit of each color on your brush and swiping over the entire piece. Use a paper towel to rub off some of the red in the middle of the heart so it looks “worn.” Wash taupe/beige paint over the entire piece, again wiping off excess until you get it to the “age” you want it. Add character with a fine detail brush, or a toothpick dipped in red paint, to create little lines and swirl marks up through the flames. Finish by gluing jewelry remnants on using E6000 adhesive." ~Sandra
Try showing off Antique Embroidery! This piece uses "Flaming Hearts Ex Votos II" #941574. Sandra used a piece of antique/vintage embroidery. (It was actually on an old embroidered “kitchen” type towel you can find at any yard sale for pennies.) Cut off a 6” x 6” square.
Sandra's line is simply one of those that you have to try for yourself! You are going to FALL in LOVE with these pieces! They're fun and addicting!
Love all the awesome creations you made with just one piece!
