You'll never believe what Monika used as a base for this stunning project! Let's just say it costs nothing and we ALL have it! Prepare to be amazed with her gorgeous project and creative ideas.
I created a dimensional frame starting with simple cardboard. (YES!) I couldn't resist using Heavy White Gesso and White Crackle Texture Paste - not only to cover the background, but, also the flowers and embellishments. The colors were created thanks to mists and watercolor pencils.
I stamped 'Don't forget to fly' wooden stamp on a piece of rather thick paper using permanent black ink for it. The butterflies were stamped on canvas that I first covered with a layer of White Gesso. And again I used mists and watercolor pencils to color the stamps. Then it was time to glue everything down - the clocks, the stamped images and the word 'Paradise'. I hope you like my work! ~Monika Huculak
After painting and allowing ample time to dry it was time to add my stamped image. My beautiful 'don't forget to fly stamp' was stamped onto white tissue paper. I carefully tore the image from the sheet leaving a slight edge.
To apply to the cushioned section of the box I used Soft Gloss Gel both underneath and over the top. This blended the image perfectly into the box lid. Copper Micro Beads edge the frame and a hint of Gold Mica Powder can be seen around the stamped image also. Finishing it off you will see some metallic gold thread which has been woven through my metal corners. ~Rebecca Morris
The snow here in Finland has almost melted and the first flowers are starting to bloom. There’s not much green in sight, yet, but soon the leaves are starting to burst out in every tree and the whole scenery turns to different shades of green. To celebrate the new season I made a little card.
I used the wood block stamp to make the butterfly as my embellishment, but also to make the background. First, I stamped the rose pattern to a piece of cardstock, embossed it with glittering embossing powder, and then misted the piece with green mist. I also created ghost-like butterfly shapes to the background using embossing ink and the green Mica Powder. ~Riikka Kovasin
