What can you do with these amazing texture pastes? Well, let's visit with Finnabair's Design team and see what they have for us today!
The inspiration and my starting point for this work was my photo. I wanted to blend it in with the background so that the viewer doesn't know where the photo starts and where it ends. Right away I thought of Art Extravagance products that would allow me to add the right texture to my page. These products are so easy to use, all I needed to do, was to apply them on a watercolor paper with a palette knife. ~Carole
Two things I love to work with…houses and clocks. So when I saw the adorable metal clocks from Finnabair, I knew I had to alter one to showcase the Art Extravagance Texture Pastes. They are so easy and fun to work with, and the results are just amazing.~ Linda Cain
I start by painting the inside and out with Heavy Black Gesso. Then I dab Platinum and Copper Crackle Texture Paste on the outsides leaving heavier areas here and there. The inside has a thick layer of Graphite Texture Paste with sprinkles of several different colors of Glitter and Plum Glass Beads.
Using clear embossing ink I pushed the Small Vintage Clock Face onto the pad. Sprinkle with Verdigris embossing powder and heat. Add a bit of Charcoal Art Sugar to various areas of the Clock. Cut out a vintage photo and adhere to the back of the Clock Face with 3D Matte Gel.
A piece of crinkle ribbon was inked using Distress Ink Pads and then stamped with the Alphabet stamp from Sunrise Sunset #2 set.
When the outsides were dry, I sponged on random spots of turquoise acrylic paint. The Sunrise Sunset stamp was added to the back of the case with black Archival Ink. Don’t press down in some areas to give the image a “worn” look. I used the Soft Gloss Gel to create a uniform and shiny coat to both pieces.
The Clock Face, as well as the Mini Mechanical Flower and Star Brad, plus the Junkyard Findings Wings were all added with 3D Matte Gel. Tie a bow with your ribbon and you’re done.

This canvas was created in a connection with my last art journal page for 'warm and cozy' challenge on Finnabair's blog. I stayed in this mood and made this earthy, natural canvas. ~Marta Łapkowska
Clear Crackle Texture Paste.
The background of my canvas was painted with a thick layer of White Gesso and then came White Crackle Texture Paste. I left all this to dry (no heating tool this time) as I wanted the crackles to be bigger and better visible. When everything dried, I added some more colors and created my composition of metal embellishments. All of them were covered with Clear Gesso which made it possible for all the color mediums to stick perfectly to metal surfaces. I did the same with Prima paper flowers. Finally, I added my vintage photo - I used Clear Gesso on it, too - it made it so easy to add the color accents. I just love the crackle effects here! They worked out perfectly creating this unique vintage atmosphere here!
