Catching The Trends...

New ideas and new techniques are so much fun to try on our papercrafting projects! Of course trends may vary depending on where you live in the world. Pocket pages with a touch of gold are all the buzz, but some (really trendy) people are taking them to the next level and creating their own dazzling cards! Louise wanted to create some pocket page inserts ahead of time to take away with her on a retreat for next month.

 

She kept the color theme generic, but added some of the awesome NEW wire thread and golden touches of glitter to get a bit of a visual "WOW" going (her signature look.) Now how cool is that? Create a few pocket pages in YOUR style using a few new trends to mix things up a bit. All of your scrappy friends will want you to make them some too!

Nadia has such an eye for color and design, as shown on all of her gorgeous projects. She LOVES the circle trend that is going strong right now! In fact, she even has a few tips for easily creating multiple circles on your page like she did on hers!

1) Stamp an image of a circle.

2) Spray Color Blooms on your mat and use your fingers to colour them in.

3) Take the nozzle of your Color Bloom and create circles on top of the stamped image.

4) Use the back of your brush and dip into your Color Bloom to create a more interesting effect.

Planners and Filofaxes are ALL the rage right now! And our very own talented WaiSam is on top of the trend! She has a huge Instagram (HappieScrappie) following that love her tips and techniques for personalizing their journals. Today WaiSam is sharing a sweet journal she created planner dividers for using the Coffee Break collection!

 

 

 

These dividers are made using Coffee Break collection for a pocket-sized planner. This would make a wonderful reading journal to jot down lists of books to read, your thoughts, etc.
