"Teachers are in full swing right now either preparing their classrooms, or saying hello to students. I made a banner for a classroom encouraging children to read. Each of my sweet Julie Nutting doll stamps provides a sentiment, or quote, highlighting the wonders and importance of reading." ~Jennifer Snyder
Just look at Jennifer's creativity with each watercolor tag! You really can't pick a favorite when each one is done so well. From the wonderful stamping to coloring techniques, Kaleidoscope paper choices to embellishments, each stamp comes to life with it's own unique personality! On this tag Aidan is your typical handsome boy in blue jeans and a t-shirt!
Is Betty not the cutest little girl stamp ever? Each stamp is easily adaptable to any ethnicity too! Jennifer decked Betty out in a pretty school dress, with a gorgeous, big bow in her hair, using the Blush 6x6 Paper Pad!
On this tag Aidan has a different look (see how versatile the stamps are?), while added mixed-media elements add gorgeous texture! When you combine all five tags you have a gorgeous banner filled with the most wonderful advice! Wouldn't this look great in a classroom, a library, or a little reading nook at home?
Jennifer had a fabulous idea: "How about a tag for each child at home or in the classroom - with some blank journal space for the child to list his/ her favorite book? Then clip it to the banner when the tag is complete."
Jennifer did use some of our new Art Ingredients and Art Basics to help accent the pieces. Soft Matte Gel helps adhere ANY items you place on top of it: Glass Beads, Mica Flakes, Glitter, metal embellishments, flowers, and more! Since the banner will be hanging up you want to make sure you use a STRONG adhesive, like gel, for each item!
She also added designs to the backdrop with our new stencils and Light Modeling Paste! The paste is perfect for adding dimension and design without a lot of weight. Isn't that a FUN design? When done just clip each tag to the banner with our FUN wood clips!

My neighbor is a teacher and she gives the kids a "ticket" for good behavior and then they get to pick a reward when they have enough tickets. I think I am going to get some of the doll stamps and make some tags up for her to put in her reward box. I really think they will like them. Boys and girls! Thank you for the great idea!!

Wow! Such individual traits on each tag/doll! Love that part especially!! What a fun way to get kids started in crafting is to have the stamped dolls all ready for them to make. Ask them to create a "buddy" to take pictures of when they are out, then to share in class or write a story including all that they did. Kind of a Where's Waldo. It could also be a character in a story!! So many ideas to use them with!
