Hello, Everybody! I'm here today to show you a mixed-media technique using Prima Color Bloom sprays in my art journal. It's one of my favorites because it's very easy and you don't neeed to spend too much time on it. Just be prepared is to get your hands dirty! ~Kasia Krzymiñska
- First cover your page with a thin layer of gesso. Let it dry.
- Start thinking about the colors you want. I decided to work with beautiful oranges, reds, and yellows. Also prepare an acrylic block; the bigger the better. It must be perfectly clean.
- Shake your sprays well and apply them to the acrylic block. Apply two or three colors at once.
- Press the acrylic block firmly to the paper to leave the paint print.
- It looks beautiful already, right? Use a heat tool to dry and repeat previous steps, adding more layers of sprays.
- To add more bright colors use Chalk Edgers on top. (Choose colors similiar to the color scheme you already used.)
- Stamp your chalk edgers on a craft mat.
- Apply chalk edger color to the journal page with a soft, nylon brush.
- Now add some doodling, collage, and maybe a few embellishments.
Your work is ready! I hope you'll try this technique and will have some fun with your art journaling. ~Kasia
