June is here and it's going to filled with FUN stuff just for YOU! Think contests, give-aways, loads of inspiring projects & ideas, how-to videos & tutorials, a special Guest Designer, and SO MUCH MORE! To kick off our month we have a few challenges for you to join in too.
If you are new to our Build-A-Page and Prima Product Pick challenges here's how they work!
1. Use the BAP sketch or PPP palette to create a Prima-based project. 2. Upload it right here on this post by the last day of June using the inlinkz tab under each challenge. 3. That's it for you! We will pick a lucky winner for each challenge, PLUS a few more entries to feature! Our challenge winners always get a lovely Prima prize delivered to them! Of course our challenges are ALWAYS open to ALL countries!
Ready for some inspiration to get YOU going on this palette filled with Something Blue Collection products? We want to start with a very special guest designer for June!
Eila Sandberg is one of the most encouraging, beautiful souls we have ever met! She not only creates gorgeous projects, but she also lifts up everyone else around her. You will often find her sweet comments posted on our blog here, our Facebook Fan Page, and so many other places. Please help us give Eila a very warm welcome!
My name is Eila Sandberg, and for those who wonder how on earth to pronounce my first name - it rhymes with "Leyla". I live in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden by the Baltic Sea. My family is a small one; it's me and my very supportive and patient husband, Bengt, and our 3 cats. I have a grown-up stepdaughter Emelie. My roots are Finnish but I was born and raised in Sweden.
I've been scrapbooking since 2010. My creative process is kind of backwards. I start with the flowers that I want to use, not the photo. Flowers are omnipresent in any projects that I create, and I have a crush on pretty, patterned papers. I scrap mainly 12 x 12 layouts, but also make cards, tags, mini albums, and create canvases. My style is a bumpy-lumpy one of many layers.
Being an Anglofile, English crime novels and BBC TV series make my heart go boom boom. Add coffee, and I’m a happy gal. Life has blessed me with many creative privileges, I have designed and had GDT assignments for producers and challenge sites in a diversity of countries. I am also a contributor to the British magazine, Scrap365, and have been a contributor to the online magazine- The PaperHaus. It would make me very happy if you would want to come for a visit to my blog!
This is my grand niece, she is the only baby we have in the family and is of course the apple of everybody's eye. She knows exactly how to charm her great auntie, a real cutie pie for sure! A sweet page for a sweet princess that has now been framed and given as a gift to her parents. Thank you so much Prima for having me as GDT this month! I am thrilled to bits! ~Eila

Lene Bjornerud took our palette and used it for her gorgeous travel page! (See, it isn't just for feminine, girly pages!) Focusing on the blues and browns in the palette allowed Lene to use an outdoor shot from her trip adding coordinating embellies to create a serene, peaceful effect.
Our palette is the perfect jumping off point for altered items too! Just peek at this sweet project by Patricia Fernandez using our new Seashore Collection. The colors work beautifully for lovely, feminine projects to decorate your home, or give as a gift to a friend!
Of course our BAP sketch is always amazing! This month the wonderful design was created by Marie-Nicolas Alliot and holds bold elements perfect for stamping, sewing, or stencil work! Don't you love the trendy hexagon shapes and artsy splatters she added? We would LOVE for you to submit ANY project using this sketch as a base. Hurry up and show us what you can do! Here are a few samples for inspiration!
I just couldn't resist scrapping this photo of a most dear lady! A fox behind her ear and a twinkle in her eye; she is a darling and a hoot! ~ Eila

This sketch gives you plenty of opportunities. You can play with background in many different ways. How about drawing and painting with watercolor pencils and adding sprays? Just grab your paintbrush and try. I worked on Leeza Gibbon's collections starting with a base paper from "All about me" and creating a simple composition with pieces from "Instascrap". They work together great and are perfect for all summer and colorful works. ~ Kasia Krzyminska
