"I want to show you a Valentine's Card called "LOVE" (as might be expected ;-)). It's a folded card you can open in the middle and I used the beautiful Shabby Chic Treasures and Junkyard Findings mixed with lovely paper from Prima's Delight collection. The two lovely chicks are from the Shabby Chic Treasures Easter set and are showing so much love, just perfect for the Valentine's Day. My closure is a lock from the Junkyard Findings Key Holes held together with a ribbon. Inside I have also used the paper from the Delight collection, and a sewn handmade paper journaling garland. I decorated it with other Shabby Chic Treasures and Junkyard Findings, like Lace Heart and Metal Corners. My words inside are "Love", "Happiness" and "Zest for Life"." ~Stephanie Schütze

Maiko Miwa created a soft and sweet layout with a love theme. She wanted to express heartwarming-love using Ingvild embellishments and Prima flowers. "I made a card with the theme love where I wished to mix up the romantic style with steampunk elements and in my favorite colors. I started with a backdrop cardstock packaging piece from my line (which has some of these colors), as one of the layers on my card, then built up layers and colors from here.
I ran the patterned paper on top of the packaging piece through my Sizzix machine with embossing plates, then used the Chalk Edgers on top of the embossed surface to make the embossed design pop up a bit extra. I also used the Chalk Edgers together with the Distressing Tool around on the edges of the paper for a bit grunge and vintage look.
I embellished the card with metals from my Junkyard Findings line, and beautiful flowers from Prima to add more colors and a different mix of materials and designs. ~Ingvild
