I Love You, Something Blue!

"Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue"

This Old English rhyme (which brings you good fortune on your wedding day) is the inspiraton behind our new collection, Something Blue! However, this line isn't limited to just wedding photos.

Today our very own Brazilian designer, Solange Marques, is here to share two gorgeous layouts with you. She is a talented artist who loves to blend her photos with her backdrops. We hope you enjoy her LOVE-filled post! ~Sharon

Hi, I am Solange Marques and I'd like to share with you some projects using the wonderful collection: Something Blue. The theme is "Love".

I love to be a grandmother and I wish my grandchildren will remember the good moments between us. I love taking photos of them and I love making scrapbook layouts with these photos. My granddaugher is a beautiful and sweet girl, and the Something Blue collection is perfect for her, with many flowers, birds, and sweet details.

Some people think that I cut out the photos to use them on my layouts, but it isn't true. In fact, I love "melting" the photos into the background using paints and brushes.

The end result is a gorgeous layout in which all products, and the photo, blend seamlessly together.

Layouts do not need to inhibit your artsy style. Feel free to add paint, canvas, and other products to your layout to make it more "you!" I added paint on the lace sticker, and a few other areas above, to make the layout more "me".
