Summer Love
By Kelly Foster
"I wanted to use Finnabair's new Elementals and Mechanicals in a rather sweet and/or feminine way...the contrast of the metal with the soft flowers and canvas is a great way to achieve this. I started by layering torn strips of the Elementals Resist Canvas and Sunrise Sunset paper strips on my background. I purposely frayed the edges of the canvas for wonderful texture. On top of that I masked and stamped with various mediums and inks."
"For my title, I started by adding some gold embossing to one of the large Bottle Caps Mechanicals. I then layered inside, starting with a circle of the Resist Canvas cut to size and two Vintage Mechanicals, which I topped off with an Encore flower for a feminine look. To finish it off I added the word "Love" from another set of Mechanicals." ~Kelly

Want to see another amazing journal? Kasia created an amazing sample for us today using Finn's collection, an old book, and lots of color!

Family Portrait
By Kasia Krzyminska
"This time I decided to embellish the cover of my family book that is an altered old book. Finn's products are just perfect for that. I created a background using Mini Numbers, laces, and pieces of papers. I also used some Prima stencils with my black pencil to add some more femininity to this very masculine work."
"The most pleasant part was coloring these metal elements (metal flowers, for example, that are heavy and delicate at the same time). I used some Silks and Glimmer Glaze which are perfect for metal."~ Kasia

The mechanicals are so versatile! These metal embellishments were designed to be used in a variety of ways! Keren used these gorgeous embellishments to create a stunning piece of jewelry!

Mechanical Cuff
By Keren Tamir
"I sat myself down with all the beautiful Finnabair mechanicals and vintage trinkets in front of me. Suddenly I saw the beautiful metal flourishes and an idea came to me: What if I could bend the metal and create a piece of jewelry? I decided to try it. I added flowers through the holes in the metals, using brads, and I connected the swirls together using Vintage Trinket jump rings. Then I finished it off with a clasp at the end. I have a pretty small wrist so I only needed to use two metal flourishes. If you need to adjust it to make it larger just add more flourishes." ~Keren
We just love how Keren thought outside the box with this project and used her supplies in such a creative way. This project would make an amazing gift for the upcoming holidays too!
