Going Pink for the Cure...

It's Breast Cancer Awareness month.

We all know someone who has been affected by this terrible illness: a sister, mother, aunt, friend, co-worker, neighbor...the list goes on and on. As the professionals seek a cure the rest of us can volunteer, raise money, provide awareness, etc. Every little bit helps.

 

Prima is going PINK, along with millions of others, to help spread the word! We hope you enjoy the projects our teams have prepared for you today: some are inspirational, some are celebratory, some are just recording happy mommy moments, but all are filled with PINK!

You Were Given Canvas

Janine loves all things pink and, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, she wanted to create a canvas that was full of pink goodness! We love the message of strength she has used for encouragement!

How to: She started by coating a Tim Holtz burlap canvas with gesso, then mixed Luminarte Polished pigment Pink Grapefruit with texture paste before masking with the Prima Flourish stencil, one of Janine's favorite stencils.  The Anna Marie line was perfect for the fussy-cut paper flower that she used to build up her canvas. Then she finished off with a mix of Le Mia, Layla, and Caboodles flowers.  Janine then added some shabby chic touches with gesso over the flowers, as well as Iridescent Medium for a subtle pearl effect, while the White Resins added the perfect finishing touches to the canvas.
