>>>Come Meet Ingvild<<<
It's always fun to meet the designer behind the line! Today we want you to meet Ingvild Bolme. Ingvild's style is beautiful, shabby, and unique! She is always so careful when designing product: every little detail must be perfect, making sure each product is absolutely perfect for you!
My name is Ingvild Bolme, and I come from Stavanger on the
west coast of Norway. I grew up here and have lived here my whole life,
and just can’t imagine to live another place. Our city lays between
beautiful mountains and fjords, and just by the North Sea, and we get
the best of all four seasons.
My hubby and I have a beautiful girl age 6, and I am thankful to being
able to let her grew up here in the same city and country as I. We also
have a cat and a Dalmatian dog in our little family, animals is an
important part of our life.
Of course our daughter Iselina is everything for me, and my biggest inspiration trough life and art.
I’ve been interested in drawings, art and all kinds of designs,
including photo and interior as long as I can remember. So when I
discovered scrapbooking in 2006 I finally found the craft that was
perfect for me where I could include all my interests in one and on top
of that treasure family memories in a very unique way.
Scrapbooking have been a huge part of my life ever since then, where the
journey have given me so many wonderful experiences and memories. I
joined Prima’s design team in 2008, which was a dream coming true to me
since Prima have been my favorite brand ever since I started to
scrapbook. I dare to say that Prima’s wide range of wonderful products
partly shaped my style as a scrapbooker. I’ve also travel around in the
world to teach classes, and met so many wonderful people across the
world that I never will forget. Such an honor.
I first started as a product designer for Prima in 2011 and am very
thankful for this opportunity and for being able to live my dream and
have my passion as my work.
When creating your line was there anything in particular that inspired you?
One of my first collections was the Comfort-Craft Tools, which is a line of ergonomic tools. I really wished to design some tools that were easy to use, and if they could make crafting a bit easier for some people with special needs, it would make me very happy.
Through the years as a scrapbooker, there have been loads of products
I’ve been longing to see on the market, stuff I really missed. As a
product designer I could finally do something with all these ideas and
try to make available stuff I’ve always wished to see on the market. Now
when I get so much great response on my products, that itself
inspires me a lot to continue to do what I do and to make available
products people wish for and what makes them happy. To find inspiration
for designs I often look into nature, but also trends around us in daily life.
You also scrapbook and teach! What do you think the students love the most about using your products?
Your style is very romantic and shabby chic. Can people who scrap in other styles still use your products?
Yes of course they can. I also scrap in other styles as well, and then use the same products.
For example, my Shabby Chic Treasures are more romantic, and the
Junkyard Findings might be more grunge or industrial. I also love to see
when people mix up all these products on all kinds of styles-that
often gives an very interesting effect! Often when I scrap for example
shabby chic, I can easily add clock gears and other more grunge metal
parts to add interesting details.
For this release I also have more boyish and mechanical products, which I
hope will fill a bit for other wishes on the market. When I design
products I wish to design for everyone else out there, what they want,
not only for myself and my style.
We've heard you have an amazing design team! How can people see their creations with your lines?
Yes, I now have a wonderful design team with 10 amazingly
talented girls that I am truly proud of, who do a lot of inspirational
work. They have all different styles, and they all use my products in so
many different ways.
These girls comes from 10 different countries, and it’s truly worth it
to visit each of their blogs to view their amazing art and get tons of
inspiration!
In my blog www.ingvildbolme.com we share their designs weekly. There you can also find links to their galleries and their blogs on the right side bar menu.
We will be sharing work from each of Ingvild's designers on our blog tomorrow for a special hop so be sure and check it out!

Ingvild's embellishments have always been some of my Prima favourites. I just love to use them on romantic creations. If I have to pick one favourite kind of embellishment, I would pick the resin embellishments. Love them to pieces!
