Each month we love to show off two different styles with the exact same products! First we have a simple layout. It is sweet and gorgeous, but with less embellishments:
Feminine, yet grungy, this layout is perfectly ready to be slid into the scrapbook album. Heidi Kelley layered bits of paper from the Divine collection, topping them with a smear of gesso and a mask detail. She then attached her photo, a couple of butterflies and brads, and added some journaling in the upper left corner of the paper.
But Heidi wanted to take the layout just a bit further, turning it into something stupendous...
Here's just a few of the things she did to add a little more detail, and gain a lot more effect!
At the top of the page Heidi used paint mist to color in her resist banner, added a hand-cut bird, a small flower, another brad, water colored some of the bits of paper, and added a puddle of pink paint.
In the center cluster of the page Heidi added a little oomph to the photo by added a 3D effect with her daughter's hands, allowing to cup the butterfly. She then used some of the Prima trim as a wreath upon her daughter's head in the photo, added a few more butterflies, tiny flowers, and some pennant banners. She finished the layout by flicking and splattering a bit more paint on it, and then smearing some gesso along the edges in order to change up where she placed the journaling...
Instead of keeping the journaling at the top of the page, she placed it onto the bottom, left, corner.

Gorgeous of course, and your daughter is beautiful, (blessing and a curse as she gets older, LOL) Always love to see what you do with the paint & mediums for texture and color. And the added embellishment really made the page. Always love to see how you create outside the box.
