Who inspires you?

What happens when you aren't inspired? Do you ever sit down to scrapbook and everything is a blank?

 

If so- try this little trick: Pick out just one layout, card, tag, or mixed media piece from our blog that really speaks to you. Choose one element from that project that you particularly enjoy:

• it could be a product you'd like to play with,
• a certain color you love,
• or maybe a technique that delights you.

Then take that bit of inspiration as the jumping off point on your project!

The Two Best Lindas

Brit was inspired by the set up of the design and all the thin paper strips Heidi used on her original piece when she created her marvelous layout!

"This is two very good friends of mine. We share the same interest in Scrapbooking. And this picture was taken on a crop last month, where we had a funny photoshoot.   These Lindas are really the BEST!!" ~Brit

Isn't this fun and whimsical? Brit took the pieces that inspired her from the original layout and changed the theme and papers to fit her photos.

Layout - a

So what from Heidi's layout inspired Louise to create this gorgeous layout?

 "I love Heidi's  command of design with the use of negative space! It appeals to me big time!" ~Louise

Louise loves using white space and latched on to that element for her layout. Louise chose different colors, papers, embellies, etc, but the foundation was set when she chose the white space element to lift.

Don't you love how Louise created her own layout background pattern using the flower images from the new release Life Time cling stamps?

She heat embossed the flower images and then highlighted them with the subtle application of water color paint. Brilliant and oh-so-fun!

"I have placed my photo and clusters of flowers and snacks at the same place at the page. I also was inspired by the butterflies and the vintage feeling! Loved this layout from Heidi Kelley!" ~Lene

 

Lene chose the basic sketch of the design and copied it for her page...allowing her the freedom to choose her own colors, papers, etc. Sometimes all we need is that little boost to get going and then our own creativity starts again!
