Happy Friday! Today on the Prima blog we have another flower feature for you. This great post was brought to us by Karola Witczak, she will share with you an inspiring way on how to use the Essential Flowers. The Essential flowers are flat flowers that can be layered or used on their own. Each paper line comes with a matching Essential set.

Hello everyone! I have a little something and I hope - inspiring for you today! April is our Flower month at Prima DT so I thought that I could show you a great way to use flowers in the projects. I know most of us love all the flowers that are more dimensional, as roses or any kind of this type, but don't forget about the most classic
Essentials flowers!
Today I will show you my idea how to use just the more flat flowers. I created a layout with a minimum quantity of paper, where the main decoration are flowers and I used the Essentials to creating a background for other embellies. First I've prepared the background sheet using Prima mask and PanPastels.
Then I chose my Essentials flowers from Songbird collection. I decided to create special background on my page, so I placed the flowers creating a flower panel. Of course, you can fill a whole page of these flowers, or arrange them in a completely different shape.
I wanted flat up my flowers to the paper, therefore I used Ranger's Glue'n'Seal medium to stick them to the background and for make it very flat.
Then I placed on the wet flowers a transparent foil and flattened my panel by the hand.
I added a little bit of gesso on my flowers to make beautiful texture and to match the colors to the ground and make it more delicate. Then I left my page to dry.
Now I could start adding layers, photo and embellies. Again I used Essentials flowers to make a background for other flowers, but this time not used Glue'n Seal, only a little bit of gesso.
And here is the final effect:
I hope I was able to inspire you to using not only dimensional rich flowers, but also these which are a more flat - these are very useful in a thousand ways! Thanks for visit Prima blog today, have a nice day!

However, while the new found abilities to understand film history first hand might have been a boon on appreciating contemporary cinema, the above list also forces you to write any top ten list with humility as there are still hundreds of films from the decade I still need to see, or perhaps even re-evaluate.
