Hello to you on this fine Monday morning. We are happy to share with you more of Anna Dabrowska's gorgeous work.
................................................................................
"Mine" - mixed media layout
What I love the most is mixing different supplies, materials and shapes to get an unique, eclectic look in my projects. What can be better than multi-shaped, texturized embellishments made by Prima? I think the delicate look of flowers in opposition to hard, cold metal is just adorable - and canvas with a bit of plastic on the top of it? Buttons and soft lace? I love these combinations: they reflect the complexity of our nature, the different aspects of personality and relationships with others.
In the background I used Prima Masks, which are always my first choice when starting the page - I love the possibilities they give: I've got the control over the creative process, decisions where to place patterns or texture. I simply can't create without them now!

"Vintage Collage"
What's amazing about Prima products is that they work for almost all of creative activity: altered art, mixed media, scrapbooking, collage - all creative people can find something for them in Prima's collections! I seriously fell in love with all the amazing designs and diversity of the products, so I can't take Prima off of my desk now, and the Printery collection seems to be my all-time-favorite!
In this project - mixed media collage - I used scraps of Printery papers to create a background for my further painting, sticking, and spraying. To get a more vintage, delicate look I used gesso to cover the patterned paper and a lot of gel medium to cover the background I made.
After sticking the photo down, cut-out hearts, and elements I added a second coat of medium and painted it again:) In the end I got this vintage-like canvas, with altered photo and added a resin window as a final touch :)

"Gradation" - mini tray (or mini box)
This a bit of a crazy idea came to my mind when I was looking through the leftovers from my DT creations gathered in a small pile on my desk. I found different types of embellishments: paper, fabric, plastic, metal...finally some flea-market findings and old clock parts too. While playing with them and thinking which boxes should I put them in I made a configuration similar to the one you see in my finished project - starting with delicate and soft, then adding a bit of hardness in every step and finishing with dark and metal elements. I loved the idea from the first moment - I only needed a proper frame or background to put them on display. A small wooden tray was just perfect:) This creation was pure fun!

I loved the idea from the first moment - I only needed a proper frame or background to put them on display. A small wooden tray was just perfect:) This creation was pure fun!
I started with covering the wooden box with small bits of paper tape to get some texture and painting it a bit with gesso to lighten up the grey color.
Using gel medium as a glue I placed the embellishments in the "windows" of the box - starting with a pink paper flower and finishing with a piece of metal hardware.
The idea I had on my mind was "Gradation" so I embellished the top and bottom of the box with lace and pieces of grungy chipboard. I put the cotton trim on the sides of the box too.
Next step I did was painting with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists in shades of pink, silver, gold and black and drying it with a heat gun.
Finally I added the chipboard title, covered the whole project with metallic paint. Pure messy fun!
