So far for our 12 Days of Christmas Around the World we have been to:
Day 1: New York
Day 2: and Indiana so far.
Today we are heading to California to celebrate the holidays with our very own Stacy Cohen!
Hi, everyone! Isn’t it fun to learn about everyone’s different holiday traditions? My family celebrates Hanukkah. This year Hanukkah runs from December 2nd through December 9th, so the holidays are in full swing for us. Every year we follow the established traditions of Hanukkah, like lighting the menorah, saying the prayers, playing dreidel, and opening presents on each of the eight nights.
But, in our family we have a very special Hanukkah tradition. Every night after we light the menorah, we put on our favorite Hanukkah music and my husband, our daughters, and I all dance around the living room together. I’m not talking about mellow dancing. I’m talking about anything-goes-build-up-a-sweat-crazy-chicken dancing. This is definitely one of our favorite family traditions – one that we will hopefully continue for years to come. It’s usually just our little family of four, but if you happen to be invited to our house for Hanukkah dinner, you’d better bring your dancing shoes!!!

Have you started your holiday shopping yet? Gift cards are always very popular. To make gift card giving a little more personal, you can make pretty card holders using the packaging from Prima flowers.
I made this first gift card holder using a long piece of printed cardboard packaging from Prima Vines (the packaging from the Scrapbook Jewelry would work).
To make the flap closure, I made a fold about ½ an inch from the top. Then I folded the remainder of the packaging in half. I put Velcro dots on the inside of the flap so that it stays closed. I added a Prima chipboard journaling sticker, lace and a rose to the outside. Then I handcut the stars from other leftover Prima packaging and coated them with glitter.
I added a pocket on the inside to hold the gift card:
Products used:
- Packaging from Vines, Jewelry, etc.
- 841782 Annalee Avondale
- 541613 Jack n’ Jill journaling sticker
- 538620 Fairytale Roses
- 541347 Lace

I made this next gift card holder using the clear doily packaging from Prima flowers. I hand-stitched two of them together, leaving the top side open so that the gift card can be inserted. I added a pre-made Hanukkah embellishment and E-line crystals (product #300081.)
Happy Holidays!! ~~Stacy
