Scrapping Each Other

Last year our Design Team swapped and scrapped photos of each other for a very fun, very precious keepsake from being on the Prima DT. It was so cherished by everyone who participated that we wanted to do it again this year.

This time Trina McClune organised a similar swap with the DT! Trina collected photos...secretly handed them out, and collected all of the layouts made with them. No one knew ahead of time who had their photo...which added even more suspense and interest to the swap.

Jaime's use of colour and journaling notepads make for a stunning layout with hand cutting adding the perfect finishing touches.

Karola then scrapped Trina McClune

Karola is well-known for her stunning use of pastels, and there is no exception here. Her beautiful use of color really makes her LO shine. She has also printed Trina's photo onto canvas, to match the canvas birdcages and add in another lovely dimension.

Trina scrapped Anabelle O'Malley

Trina has taken Anabelle's photo and super-sized it to make her LO shine. She then added layers of paper and lace, flowers, notepad pages and butterflies to compliment Anabelle's beautiful photo.

Nic scrapped Amanda Muirhead

Nic's LO is inspired by another of the Prima DT - Ingvild Bolme. Her use of layers and distressing is so intricate, and accented perfectly with touches of felt, flowers and embossing powder. Nic took inspiration from Ingvild and put her own twist on it.

Amanda pressed on with Jamie D's gorgeous photo while creating this "pretty in pink" layout. Amanda has added some beautifully subtle touches to her LO- such as the pebble placed just above Jamie's photos and the intricate stitching and crystals. These little details add dimension that brings you back to look at again and again.

Jamie D was given a couple of holiday shots to work with for Birgit and has done an amazing job in creating that 'I want to go back' feeling. Prima has a wonderful range of vacation papers and embellishments like Jamie here to create a brilliant sea blue palette to bring back Birgit's vacation memories each time she looks at her page.

Birgit has used some of Prima's reusable packaging as the piece that grounds her LO. From there she brings in some bright and vibrant colours using Prima patterned papers and flowers. Extra sparkle is added with some gorgeous Prima crystals. What a beautiful design to showcase a beautiful photo.

This "Scrap Each Other" is such a cool idea that you could do with your scrap friends...or with your family! Just have one person in charge who is willing to collect the photos and then assign them. Set a deadline and then hold a reveal party for everyone involved. Each person will CHERISH the layout made for them by someone they love!
