Prima has been planning some extra fun and we want to invite you to the party! Welcome to our monthly "Build-A-Page" sketch feature!
.........................................................................................
Each month Prima will post a new sketch (here on the blog and
in our newsletter) from one of our very talented sketch artists- Janine Langer and Anam Stubbington (along with a few surprise sketch guests!)
...................................................................................................................
I am 31 years old, married, mother of a 5 year old son and I am living in Solingen, a small town near Cologne, Germany. I started scrapping in January, 2007, and I am totally obsessed with it. I love to capture memories and photos - especially of our everyday life - trusting that our son will love it when he is old enough to appreciate it. I try to use layering, distressing, adding texture and dimension on nearly every layout I make; if my hands aren't covered with ink when the layout is finished, I don't feel good. ;) I also love working with sketches, especially when I need a jump to start. It's a great way to start a layout, even if the result may not look the same as the sketch at the end. It's all about stretching you creativity. To learn more about me and my work you can visit my blog (http://scrap.wildline.de) or look at the Prima gallery.

Anam Stubbington-Sketch Artist
My name is Anam Stubbington. I have been into pretty paper and creating art for years, but got addicted to scrapbooking about 5 years ago while I was pregnant with my little girl. It combined 3 loves: paper, photographs and memories. I have since amassed a huge amount of scrapbooking stash and have filled many albums with memories. I love working with paper, using my sewing machine and my computer to create my memories. I love scrapping outside my 12x12 box, trying new techniques and learning from others, as well as sharing knowledge.
I am very stoked to be working with Prima Marketing because I am addicted to the Say It In Crystals swirls, the silk flowers and the gorgeous velvet ribbon!!
I currently live in Edmonton, Canada with my artsy hubby, Ian, and our little girl, Fay, (with a bump on the way for July. You can find out more about me on my blog ‘a little of my life’ at www.anamstubbington.typepad.com.

How can YOU get involved?
Simply create a card, layout or other item that is based on the sketch and post it in the Prima Gallery (add sketch and the month in the title-ex: "Build-A-Page: April".)
On the 25th of each month the design team will choose a favorite interpretation of the sketch from the gallery and that entrant...
will win a Prima paper pack of their choice!*
(* Everyone is welcome to play along. For shipping purposes-only US/Canadian addresses will be chosen for the paper pack. We hope to include Internationals in the near future though! The paper pack includes six 12x12 double-sided papers, assorted flowers and 1 yard of coordinating ribbon!)
...................................................................................................................................................................
April's fabulous sketch (pictured above) is by Flower Girl Janine Langer! Let's take a peek at what the rest of the Flower Girls have done with this amazing sketch!
...........................................................................................
Janine Langer created a layout based on her very own sketch. She adds Harmony papers and a few Loft 18 felt flowers (520076)and Fancies mesh flowers (518813). A piece of Prima ribbon (820084) anchors the photos. Isn't this extra CUTE?
..................................................................................................................................................
Amy Hutchinson kept the same design basics as the original sketch, but used it for a more masculine layout. Rue 88 (602086) paper sets a dramatic back drop for the rockin' pics! A slice of a Paintable (602376) and a strip of a Felt Mattie (820688) add contrast while a Sweetheart flocked heart (523282)adds a whimsical touch.
...............................................................................................................................................
Celine Navarro turned the sketch into a very feminine layout using the basic design structure. Tea & Silk paper (810498) adds a floral backdrop, while Belle Fleur flowers (524449) add some gorgeousness to the design! Prima's new Letter Perfect felt letters (811921) make for a bold title, while a few stamped butterflies (Build-A-Frame stamp set 517724) take off!
.......................................................................................................................................................
Iris Babao-Uy changed the orientation for a few of her photos to make this darling layout! Angelique paper (810313) is the perfect backdrop for this girly page. A few accents (Painterly Petals, ribbons and gem centers) finish the design with extra sparkle!
...............................................................................................................................................................
Our Build-A-Page sketches can also be used for card inspiration too! The card features the Tea & Silk papers, along with a strip of a Felt Mattie (820725), Whispered Words letters (812041)and gorgeous Belle Fleur Primrose flowers (523640) centered with Prima gems. A teensy bit of mulberry Collage paper (850067)peeks out of the bottom. Card by Sharon Laakkonen
...............................................................................................................................................................
Janine Wahl creates colorful customized layout using a Paintables base (602277)! She also substitutes 3 photos instead of the 4 on the sketch. Extra fun Dude papers (820183, 820206, 820169) serve as cut-out accents making this page that is as easy as 1,2,3!
..........................................................................................................................................................
Michelle Guray switches her photos off to the left side instead of the right. She also used 3 larger photos and adds circular shapes for the accents! Harmony and Dude papers adds loads of color, while a few Fun Felt flowers (520069, 520090) are sprinkled in for extra texture with one large pink Brad Bitt (511036) right in the center of this fabulous layout!
............................................................................................................................................................
Nura Keif adds clusters of accents exactly as the sketch suggested (Belle Fleur flowers- 520991). She used 4 photos and kept the title and journaling areas in the same areas as the original sketch. A Felt Mattie serves as a foundational strip (820718) on top of the Angelique papers. A sticker from The Goods line (830137) is perfect for adding a bit of journaling, while a super large Morning Song Epoxy sticker (810160)serves as the title! Nura is so creative at using Prima products on her boy-focused pages!
...............................................................................................................................................................
Tish Treadaway uses the fun Harmony papers (860110)to create this layout about a special play day! Trisha uses a new Paintables design (811303)as the matting on her 4 photos. A fun frame draws your eye to the main photo, while some sunny yellow Prima flowers add a bit of sunshine!
.................................................................................................................................................................
Sharon Laakkonen reversed the sketch orientation. She also used the sketched journaling area for a longer title (Felt letters-811952), while adding strips of journaling to the right side. The Harmony papers (860110) add perfect contrast, while pieces of Prima ribbon (820053, 810191) serve as anchors for the playful photos! See how one sketch can be interpreted in so many ways?
...............................................................................................................................................................
All of Prima's "Build-A-Page" sketches will be kept in a separate Photo Album right here on the blog for future reference.
Come on and join in the Prima fun!!
Simply create a card, layout or other item that is based on the sketch and post it in the Prima Gallery (add sketch and the month in the title-ex: "Build-A-Page: April") for your chance to WIN!!

Love what everyone did with the sketch...very inspiring!
Just a question--how much of the layout needs to be Prima? We're limited in Prima products at my LSS. Thanks!

Use whatever products work for you! We would love it if you used Prima, but that is not a necessity!
