Trina McClune brings us a gorgeous project today!
I had such a hard choice choosing from Prima's new range of papers when they arrived at my home. So many new and beautiful designs to play with.
Finally I chose Romance Novel for this project.
I've had these photos of my daughter enjoying a drink from a fountain at the Auckland zoo. I think it was one of the first times she'd drunk from one. She and her twin brother had so much fun playing with the water, letting it run across her tongue, around her mouth, down her chin.
I finally decided it was time to use the photos....
I started with 'Time Travel' and 'Dear John' papers. The two patterns on them seemed to me to be perfectly matched if cut out and put back to back....
So I cut them out.
Then I cut a little round piece at the top of the design so they could slot together to look like one piece of patterned paper...
I initially had the base of my LO as more patterned paper, but with such strong colours and design, decided that white would suit it more.
Then it was a matter of starting to put the layout together more. I knew I needed flowers, journaling a title and of course the photos.
But when I started to put the photos together, I decided the photos needed more of a mat than I'd given them. So I pulled out some packaging and used it as a second mat.
That felt better. Now I just needed to add those bits and pieces I mentioned earlier.
And then the final touch a title.
If you had a shorter title, you could also put it alongside the photos.
And it's done.
