Sketch_september Janine Langer outdid herself with this super fun page design! The sketch's main photo is 4x5 (or just crop a 4x6 a bit), along with two supporting pictures. some funky circles and a triangle created with flowers!

Let's see what the Flower Girls did with the Build-A-Page this month!

......................................................................................................................................................

Sketch_august_layout_janinelanger_2 Janine used her own sketch for this gorgeous layout celebrating FAMILY! Using lined paper from the Steel Toe Mary Jane line (602178) as a neutral backdrop, Janine added boldly colored circles and paper flowers cut out from the Urban Cosmos line (870119). A piece of gorgeous ribbon lace (523336) stretches across the page while Times alpha letters in white (810054) makes up the perfect title!

...............................................................................................................................................
Mmslayout_bu_cindy Cindy Tobey used some really cute pictures to create this SWEET layout on Peaches paper (880590)! Cindy even used some Peaches' epoxies (880644) to mimic M&Ms on her page. (Who can resist M&Ms?) A few layered Prima flowers create the triangle of accents, while an adorable Panda epoxy (880644) connects the photos!

...........................................................................................................................................................

Sketch_august_cline

Celine Navarro uses the sketch for September to showcase some amazing photos of her guy! Happy Man has neutral papers (Whisper-820251 and Angelique-810290) as backdrops, The Goods alpha sticker (830144) and a few Painterly Petals (524265, 524227) used as minimal accents! What a great way to showcase a few handsome pics!

.................................................................................................................................................................

Fancy_pants_by_stephanie
Show Off, by Stephanie Howell, splashes a bold blue background to accent the adorable photos of her daughter swimming! Voila felt (881030) is used in the background to cleverly add movement, while South Pacific flowers (526221) add the perfect amount of summery color. A few peeks of Makes Me Happy paper (820886,821005) add just the right amount of color and contrast, while mini Times white Alphas (810054) stand out boldly against the blue.

...................................................................................................................................................................

Hold_my_hand_daddy_by_ingvild_large
Hold My Hand is a beautiful composition by Ingvild Bolme. The sweet photos of her daughter take center stage, but Ingvild uses her magical touch with the Prima papers and flowers to surround each photo with Prima wonder! Papers used: Morning Song-810382, Tea & Silk-810450. Various Prima FlowersVintage Brads: 517663
.............................................................................................................................................................
Firstday_by_amy
First Day by Amy Hutchinson is so very timely. Many of us have children going back to school! Amy chose a few wonderful photos to showcase and then added a variety of papers (821043 - Makes Me Happy, 820909 - Little Guy, 880507 - Spaceboy and 812416 - Pulse) to compliment them!  Simple and very sweet!
...................................................................................................................................................................
Youareagirlmf_by_iris Iris Babao-Uy creates a bright and colorful layout with photos of her daughter playing. Prima products used to create this beauty: Harmony Rub-ons:860134, Dude Rub-ons: 820138, Morning SOng Epoxy stickers: 810160, Dude epoxy stickers: 820046, Dude chipboard buttons: 820039, felt letters: 811891 and journalistic chipboard letters in turquoise. A few Prima flowers are scattered in for good measure too! Iris does a fabulous job of mixing and matching lines and products to create gorgeous layouts!
...................................................................................................................................................................
Rocksketchby_tish
Tish Treadaway
really rocked this sketch! Using "Little Guy" papers (820909) as the base, Tish built up the swirls and stars using Prima stamps (511784) and her Cricut machine. The title started with Baby Girl chipboard alphas (516437) which she painted brown and distressed! That's one way to use up all of those non-matching letters! ..........................................................................................................................................................................
Say_you_will_by_maramay
Mara-May Baca used lots of romantic Prima products to create this beautiful layout! The belle fleur flowers (524012) add a touch of silk, while Say It In Crystals (522940) sparkle and shine! Prima papers (810481, 602222) and a touch of lace (519742) finish off the design in style!

The themes are always fun to peek at too-the subjects ranged from changing brakes to "now & then" photos to gorgeous graduation and wedding photos.

Please congratulate Ytet for pulling into first place with her Funny Dude layout! It is sure to put a smile on your face!

Our next sketch will be showcased on August 25th...so be sure and look for it.

Now let's see what our fabulous Design Team has come up with!

.............................................................................................................................................

Sadie_bug_2

Stephanie Howell has created the most adorable layout ever! Filling the center of the circle with 4 photos of Sadie and adding a cluster of Painterly Petals flowers (524227) helps balance out the large, whimsical title created with Times chipboard letters (517892) and a Whisper Collection chipboard journal (820060). Sadie is a cute li'l bug, isn't she?
...........................................................................................................................................

Amy
Amy Hutchinson created this gorgeous layout using a variety of Prima products. We love how she has a skyline from the Voila line (880408) to reinforce the subject of the layout.

................................................................................................................................................
Celine_navarro

Celine Navarro captured us with this layout about her fiance. Using a doily for the circle, she then added a few Dude papers and a stunning title created with Prima's Letter Perfect Felt Alphabet (811853). What a handsome layout!

.................................................................................................................................................
Iris_july

Iris Babao Uy used a circle outline to draw your eye into this design. Her cut-work really shines with the Urban Cosmos papers (870089). Did you ever think you could get so much out of one piece of paper?

.................................................................................................................................................
Janine_july

Janine Wahl created the card with the sketch as a base. Boy Meets Girl is especially cute when showcasing Prima products such as the Whispered Words letters (812041)!

....................................................................................................................................................
Tish_july

Tish Treadaway inserted a cardstock circle into a piece of Urban Cosmos paper (Metro-870096) for an amazing effect. Just cutting a bit of the paper design allowed her to slip the circle in and then add embellishments to finish this gorgeous layout! The Dude letters (820015) add a whimsical touch to the title!

......................................................................................................................................................

Nura Nura Keif uses paper cut-outs from the Urban Cosmos line (870072) to create the beautiful circle which highlights a one-of-a-kind photo! A few Belle Fleur flowers add dimension, while a Say It In Crystals swirl (522308) adds a touch of sparkle to this beautiful layout!

Build-A-Page: June

June is quickly on it's way, which means that Prima has a brand new sketch ready for you!
............................................................................................................................................
Sketch_june_janinelanger_2

This month's sketch, by the talented Janine Langer, has a place for 5 small photos, along with a title area, journaling area, 3 embellishment areas and great use of white space! This sketch can be used for a number of layout themes and subjects! Let's see what the talented Prima Flower Girls did with it.

.............................................................................................................................................
Sketch_june_layout_janinelanger_blo
Janine's own interpretation of the sketch is used for a sport layout! My 2 Soccer Stars highlights the Dude line of papers, a few Say It In Crystals and a Times Chipboard number. As Janine shows, this is a great sketch for a series of sport shots!

................................................................................................................................................

Cindy_tobey_princessleiahair Cindy Tobey creates a stunning layout using shots of her daughter's Leia hair! Cindy used one of the photos areas for journaling and added a Clear Paintables as the background for her photos (812164).  Cindy then copied the diamond pattern and extended it off of the Paintable area. Whispered Words flocked letters help create the title, while a strip of Elysee daisy ribbon and a layered flower add the perfect touches of orange! If you do not have the right color letters simply paint them like Cindy did! She painted both the Coquette letters (517052) and the Flocked Letters (812041)!

...................................................................................................................................................

Maramay_baca_cant_get_enough_of_tha Mara-May Baca uses a strip black and white photos for perfect contrast against the boldly-colored Morning Song papers! A large Bold O' Lay stamp produces the red swirl, while a spray of rich Prima flowers add the perfect touches to this gorgeous design! Mara-May shows us how to creatively use patterned paper, instead of a solid, as the background!

.......................................................................................................................................................

Iris_babao_uy Iris Babao-Uy documents her new pregnancy in a fun and colorful manner!! A few Morning Song papers are used as accents, while a Pop-Up bird (516109) adds a delightful touch of whimsy. Since Iris only had one photo to use on this layout she mounted it on a Felt Mattie (820718) to frame it and then substituted blocks of paper for the other photo areas. A spattering of Prima flowers and IOD tape strips  (517809) finish off the lovely design in style.

.........................................................................................................................................................

Amy_hutchinson Amy Hutchinson uses a softer palette, using Morning Song (810382) and Tea & Silk papers, for this beautiful layout! Amy uses 2 photos (instead of 5) and adds a creative piece of paper cut-work from the Tea & Silk line (810450). A Cavalier Monogram (810016) forms the title, while a few turquoise Prima flowers add a splash of color to this amazing creation.
...............................................................................................................................................................

Rita_weiss

Rita Weiss uses strips of Morning Song ribbons (810207) to create gorgeous vertical lines on her, "Ooo La La...Paris" layout. A mix of bold bright papers (Coquette-602031) and softer papers (Romantica-601256) create the perfect mix for these fun photos! A Say It in Crystals frame (517397) perfectly highlights the Eiffel Tower photo, while Coquette letters (517052) create a whimsical title!

......................................................................................................................................................................

If you would like to try your hand at this month's Build-A-Page simply add it to the Prima gallery for your chance to win a Prima paper pack of your choice! (US and Canada only please.)

Mark it as "Build-A-Page: June" and submit it, under the contest link above, by June 25th. A winner will be chosen on June 26th and contacted via email.

....................................................................................................
Anam_stubbington_may_2008

Want to play along? Complete a layout or other project based on this sketch and enter it here:  Prima's Contest Gallery (please write Build-A-Page, May in the title).

On the 25th of May we will choose a winner from amongst the entries to receive a Prima Paper Pack of their choice! Although everyone is welcome to play along, paper packs can only be awarded to US and Canada addresses at this time.

................................................................................................................................................

Anam_primamay Anam used her own sketch for this lovely layout! She followed the sketch almost perfectly using one large photo and enhancing it with Prima's flowers and Say It In Crystals. An IOD Chipboard Saying (516833) is used for the title and two cute lovebirds add a touch of whimsy to the design.

.............................................................................................................................................................

Celeste

Celeste Smith presents a clean and simple, 8.5 x 11 interpretation of May's sketch. Using a bold piece of Harmony paper (860073), she then creates a focal point with a multi-layered paper flower! How cool is that? A clean and simple title finishes off the design with style!

...........................................................................................................................................................

Sharon_large Sharon Laakkonen also uses one photo, but orients it vertically. Lyrics to a song (which inspired the title) are recorded in the journaling area. A collection of Belle Fleur flowers (524043, 524036) and Sweetheart hearts (523282), along with the Whisper papers (820299), add a touch of romance to the layout. This sketch can be used for a variety of styles and tastes! Photo by Ann Galliers.

...........................................................................................................................................................

Janine_wahl
Janine Wahl used the sketch for a masculine page celebrating a very special relationship between her son and his uncle! Instead of large flowers for embellishments, Janine used chipboard swirls and one Twilight polka-dotted flower (520908)!

..................................................................................................................................................................

Celine

Celine Navarro uses a Felt Mattie (820701) to draw attention to the main photo on this colorful layout! A few Obsession flowers (523909, 523893) are sprinkled in for additional color, as is the turquoise Letter Perfect felt title (811853)!

.....................................................................................................................................................................

Sketch_april_janinelanger_blog

Janine Langer turns May's Build-A-Page into a circular layout! How fun is that? The Happy PIratePrima layout features tons of    products...Dude papers (820282), a Painterly Petals flower (524265), an Alphabet Sticker (P-830144), chipboard from the Harmony collection (860035) and a Say It In Crystals center (521943)!!
.......................................................................................................................................................................

Spirit_by_maramay_large

Mara-May Baca uses large swirls from The Bold-O-Stamps line (830021) to create lots of movement on this gorgeous page! Granada flowers  (from the Caribbean Collection-509835) add bold femininity, while a touch of Prima lace (523398) grounds the design.

.......................................................................................................................................................................

Nura

Nura Keif uses a handful of Whispers papers (8820251, 820275, 820244) to create this multi-layered background, while adding two adorable photos. A large chipboard shape (516833) forms the title and a few whimsical touches of ribbon (519506) create textural interest!

Prima's New **Build-A-Page**!

Prima has been planning some extra fun and we want to invite you to the party!  Welcome to our monthly "Build-A-Page" sketch feature!

.........................................................................................

Sketch_march_janinelanger_2Each month Prima will post a new sketch (here on the blog and in our newsletter) from one of our very talented sketch artists- Janine Langer and Anam Stubbington (along with a few surprise sketch guests!)

...................................................................................................................

Janine_langer Janine Langer-Sketch Artist

I am 31 years old, married, mother of a 5 year old son and I am living in Solingen, a small town near Cologne, Germany. I started scrapping in January, 2007, and I am totally obsessed with it. I love to capture memories and photos - especially of our everyday life - trusting that our son will love it when he is old enough to appreciate it. I try to use layering, distressing, adding texture and dimension on nearly every layout I make; if my hands aren't covered with ink when the layout is finished, I don't feel good. ;) I also love working with sketches, especially when I need a jump to start. It's a great way to start a layout, even if the result may not look the same as the sketch at the end. It's all about stretching you creativity. To learn more about me and my work you can visit my blog (http://scrap.wildline.de) or look at the Prima gallery.

...................................................................................................................

Anam Anam Stubbington-Sketch Artist

My name is Anam Stubbington. I have been into pretty paper and creating art for years, but got addicted to scrapbooking about 5 years ago while I was pregnant with my little girl. It combined 3 loves: paper, photographs and memories. I have since amassed a huge amount of scrapbooking stash and have filled many albums with memories. I love working with paper, using my sewing machine and my computer to create my memories. I love scrapping outside my 12x12 box, trying new techniques and learning from others, as well as sharing knowledge.

I am very stoked to be working with Prima Marketing because I am addicted to the Say It In Crystals swirls, the silk flowers and the gorgeous velvet ribbon!!

I currently live in Edmonton, Canada with my artsy hubby, Ian, and our little girl, Fay, (with a bump on the way for July. You can find out more about me on my blog ‘a little of my life’ at www.anamstubbington.typepad.com.

.....................................................................................................................

...................................................................................................................................................................

April's fabulous sketch (pictured above) is by Flower Girl Janine Langer! Let's take a peek at what the rest of the Flower Girls have done with this amazing sketch!

...........................................................................................

Janine_langer Janine Langer created a layout based on her very own sketch. She adds Harmony papers and a few Loft 18 felt flowers (520076)and Fancies mesh flowers (518813). A piece of Prima ribbon (820084) anchors the photos. Isn't this extra CUTE?

..................................................................................................................................................

Amy_hutchinson Amy Hutchinson kept the same design basics as the original sketch, but used it for a more masculine layout. Rue 88 (602086) paper sets a dramatic back drop for the rockin' pics! A slice of a Paintable  (602376) and a strip of a Felt Mattie (820688) add contrast while a Sweetheart flocked heart (523282)adds a whimsical touch.

...............................................................................................................................................

Celine_navarro Celine Navarro turned the sketch into a very feminine layout using the basic design structure. Tea & Silk paper (810498) adds a floral backdrop, while Belle Fleur flowers (524449) add some gorgeousness to the design! Prima's new Letter Perfect felt letters (811921) make for a bold title, while a few stamped butterflies (Build-A-Frame stamp set 517724) take off!

.......................................................................................................................................................

Iris_babao_uy Iris Babao-Uy changed the orientation for a few of her photos to make this darling layout! Angelique paper (810313) is the perfect backdrop for this girly page. A few accents (Painterly Petals, ribbons and gem centers) finish the design with extra sparkle!

...............................................................................................................................................................

Sharon_laakkonen_card_large Our Build-A-Page sketches can also be used for card inspiration too! The card features the Tea & Silk papers, along with a strip of a Felt Mattie (820725), Whispered Words letters (812041)and gorgeous Belle Fleur Primrose flowers (523640) centered with Prima gems. A teensy bit of mulberry Collage paper (850067)peeks out of the bottom. Card by Sharon Laakkonen

...............................................................................................................................................................

Janine_wahl Janine Wahl creates colorful customized layout using a Paintables base (602277)! She also substitutes 3 photos instead of the 4 on the sketch. Extra fun Dude papers (820183, 820206, 820169) serve as cut-out accents making this page that is as easy as 1,2,3!

..........................................................................................................................................................

Michelle_guray_march_2 Michelle Guray switches her photos off to the left side instead of the right. She also used 3 larger photos and adds circular shapes for the accents! Harmony and Dude papers adds loads of color, while a few Fun Felt flowers (520069, 520090) are sprinkled in for extra texture with one large pink Brad Bitt (511036) right in the center of this fabulous layout!

............................................................................................................................................................

Nura_keif_march Nura Keif adds clusters of accents exactly as the sketch suggested (Belle Fleur flowers- 520991). She used 4 photos and kept the title and journaling areas in the same areas as the original sketch. A  Felt Mattie serves as a foundational strip (820718) on top of the Angelique papers. A sticker from The Goods line (830137) is perfect for adding a bit of journaling, while a super large Morning Song Epoxy sticker (810160)serves as the title! Nura is so creative at using Prima products on her boy-focused pages!

...............................................................................................................................................................

Tish_treadaway

Tish Treadaway uses the fun Harmony papers (860110)to create this layout about a special play day! Trisha uses a new Paintables design (811303)as the matting on her 4 photos. A fun frame draws your eye to the main photo, while some sunny yellow Prima flowers add a bit of sunshine!

.................................................................................................................................................................

Sharon_laakkonen_large Sharon Laakkonen reversed the sketch orientation. She also used the sketched journaling area for a longer title (Felt letters-811952), while adding strips of journaling to the right side. The Harmony papers (860110) add perfect contrast, while pieces of Prima ribbon (820053, 810191) serve as anchors for the playful photos! See how one sketch can be interpreted in so many ways?

...............................................................................................................................................................

All of Prima's "Build-A-Page" sketches will be kept in a separate Photo Album right here on the blog for future reference.

Come on and join in the Prima fun!!

Simply create a card, layout or other item that is based on the sketch and post it in the Prima Gallery (add sketch and the month in the title-ex: "Build-A-Page: April") for your chance to WIN!!
