Have you been enjoying our monthly challenges? We sure hope so because we are shaking things up a teensy bit with our BAP sketches! We're super excited to bring you new BAP designers each month introducing fabulous original sketches to base new layouts off of! The cherry on top: we even have a new color scheme for our BAP! We hope you love it as much as we do!
Kicking off July's BAP is this dynamic sketch by Kasia Krzymiñska created just for YOU! She adds patriotic stars, trendy inky areas, floral accents, and more. To enter our BAP sketch simply create a Prima-based project and link us to it by July 31st on the inlinkz button below. It's THAT simple! (See June's challenges for examples. In fact, if you hurry, you can still enter as they close today! You can find them right here!)
Need a little inspiration for July? Let's start July's challenge with our very first Guest Designer for 2014-2015!!! We're super excited to present this amazingly talented gal from France!
Trina also stuck close to the original sketch and used soft colors for a sweet palette filled with femininity! Stencil use adds shabby-chic texture while a creative mimic of the "paint drips" on the original sketch is created with one of our brand-new stencils! (Sneak peek alert!!) Her photo takes center stage with a gorgeous Prima frame surrounding it!

This is such a fun sketch to play with! I've roughly stuck to the sketch, adding hot air balloons cut from a sheet of Cartographer paper (Montgolfiere). I just loved the bold paint sweeps, which inspired me to use Color Bloom sprays with some texture added from a stencil. ~Fran

I was so inspired by the actual design of the sketch. I flipped it over to the side. The sketch inspired me to pull out stencils and texture paste to add some dimension to the background. I finished it off by adding some gorgeous Prima flowers. ~Camilla

Hi there, here is Amélie and this is my take for July's BAP. I tried to follow the sketch as closely as possible. As I used a dark background I didn’t ink it, but made only a few "ink stains" with gesso. I also played with layers under my picture, and added little embellishments and flowers around the photo. I hope you will enjoy it! ~Amélie
