Hello Hello, Louise Nelson here to share with you my love of some of Prima Marketing’s new release embellishments.
For those who know me I am almost minimal in my scrapbooking style, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t love to use embellishments, it just means that I am selective about what to use to suit the look and design of my layout.
With that in mind you can appreciate why I am so in love with the awesome new Shabby Chic Treasures frames by Ingvild Bolme.
When creating these 3 layouts I was mindful of ensuring that; the memory and the photo were the ‘rock stars’ of my layout. So to make my photos ‘pop’, and to help draw the eye to the photo, I chose to use the fabulous Oval and Baroque frames from the range. For extra embellishment on the second layout I used the ‘to die for’ Wire Thread.
This layout was fun to create, I love to hand journal on my layouts, and especially my titles. To complete the title I used a medium sized script brush with white ink.
Seriously this Wire Thread is just so fabulous to create with! This flower and the heart embellishments were just so quick and easy to create. This wire thread is really rather wonderful, and adds that something special to your project.
With this close up picture of the resin frame you can see that I have highlighted some of the pattern with some black ink.
With the bamboo stencil I have actually sprayed the stencil, then flipped it over on to the cardstock background to get a ‘stamped’ bamboo pattern on the background before adding extra splats of the distress ink. These splats make the black sugardots really pop!
Thank you for letting me share my love of the fabulous new resin frames and wire!
Cheers and Happy Scrapping! ~Louise
