NIne Mendella created this month's gorgeous sketch! There's a layering of elements under the photos (hot trend!) and lots of fun, subtle areas to fill with paint, ink, or whatever your heart desires!
We would love for you to play along with us this month! See the link-up and rules at the bottom of the post!
January's Guest Designer:
Fran's work has caught our eye so many times. She has a beautiful sense of color, balance and intriguing techniques. We know you will agree with us once you see her BAP for January!
My name is Fran and I reside in the occasionally(!) sunny Derbyshire, United Kingdom. I have been creative for as long as I can remember, and I started out creating cards in 2006. My creativity has gradually progressed throughout the years into scrapbooking, mixed media, and 3D projects - I just love to make and create things! My inspiration is drawn from many areas, and I enjoy using unexpected items in my work. I like creating projects that are intricate in details, diverse and different. ~Fran
Fran's creation is just stunning! She followed the sketch pretty closely, but moved the photo area to the center a tad. Layering inks and papers, baubles and stencil work all add to the amazing results you see right here!
Wow, right? Fran is amazing and we are so happy to have her do a little special work for us! You can see more of Fran's work right here on her blog! We told you she is TALENTED!!!!
First Day by Nine Mendella
Nine used her own sketch to create this gorgeous layout! We love how Nine adds so many whimsical touches (painting, drops, stamping, writing) that are grounded with a variety of textural effects (gold polka-dots to wood icons). She always leaves gorgeous white space so the design is clutter free!
Us Layout by Louise Nelson
January PPP is fresh & new in a cool way! Adding in some of our NEW CHA releases adds a fun spin to the challenge. You can play along by either using the palette or the products for any of our PPP contests! We would love to see what Prima-based project you create based on this month's PPP!
Happy Birthday Card by Fran Westmoreland
Fran also created this gorgeous blue card using the PPP as inspiration! The wide range of blue tones and metals work so well together to create a very Happy Birthday card!
My World by Felicity Wilson
Felicity used an assortment of gorgeous blues in this sweet layout about her boys! If you do not have the perfect shades of blue flowers you can always use paints or chalk edgers to add splashes of blue through-out!
Winter Wonderland by Keren Tamir
"I really loved the colors of this month's PPP. They were perfect for a winter scenery. I found this large plastic snowflake at the dollar store and I thought it would be perfect to create a wintery OTP. I added the picture in the centre of the snowflake and embellished with lots of Prima flowers. This snowflake can be hung on a wall or glued onto a paper." ~Keren
Special Moments Frame by Sharon Laakkonen
Sharon used one of our brand-new metal frames to create this handsome project! Filling the inside with a large photo of her boys around her makes sure to make it a focal point! Sharon then added a few special touches for a wonderful display on her desk.
Prima has several metal frames for release at CHA Winter so be sure and look for them on our blog!
