Boys Album

Maiko used our new small resist album + inside media kit to create this gorgeous album all about her handsome boys!
The canvas has a resist pattern on it...so it will "resist" any color you apply to it!
Maiko started with PanPastels and Shimmerz sprays.
After achieving the color pattern she liked she then flicked color spray with a brush:
Next Maiko used one of our new 6x6 stencils and gesso to achieve a very cool effect:
After drying the gesso Maiko applied our new pastel chalk edgers to the canvas!
Dry brush a little gesso (or white paint) on the edges for a shabby chic look.

Wow! Did she create the most beautiful album or what? The Lifetime and Art Journal papers mixed wonderfully together and really complimented the artsy touches!

Lady Bird Album

Let's walk through this mixed-media album Marie-Nicolas style!
"First, I cut cover of my album. This canvas page is part of the large inside media kit.
After I stained it with Glimmer Mist - Yellow I recovered the ink which was on the stenci by flipping the stencil over and pressing firmly on a new canvas.
And for more texture, I added Gesso in differently place of my album. I used the dot stencil for that, by filing the holes of this with a cardboard.
For more colors and texture, I add stamping with Adirondack (Ranger) and Prima chalk edgers (Rock Moss and Teal Damask.)
I colored the
background of my page with stencils and cut & dry foam. I add some splashes
with Distress Stain by Ranger.
To embellish this album, I played with texture: adding trim (I love it !!), glassine bag, and sewing thread.
