Breaking All the Rules!

So we came up with a creative idea to take everything we have learned about scrapbooking and product use,

throw them all up in the air,

and just BREAK those rules in some way.

When the idea was presented to our team we had three gals who went above and beyond anything that we could have hoped for!

"Lovely"

Heidi broke a lot of rules with her drop-dead gorgeous project!

First she made the dresses out of paper. Yes. Genius.
Then she clipped apart the Say It In Crystals and used it in the girls' hair. How adorable is that?
Thirdly she used a silhoutte-cut photo rather than a whole image for a whimsical touch.

Heidi created so much dimension that this beauty is going to have to be framed and hung on a wall for all to drool over! (Good thing as there is no way this will fit in an album.)

Bon Voyage Altered Book

Gerry's "breaking the rules" project is a delightful Mixed Media Album with a surprise!

Just look at how creative Gerry is! The "book" opens up to reveal 3-D displays and her beautiful children's photo. Let's find out a few tips from Gerry on how to recreate this.

"I chose two of the resist canvas pages from Prima's mixed-media album. I used one page and cut it into two for the inside parts of the wood box. The other canvas page is used for the cover. Mist them to create a custom look."

"Add a Junkyard Findings lamp upside down on a resin pillar to create a street lamp!"

"Decorate with felt flowers and a typo bulb. This book is perfect for bulkier products."

"Use a mask with modeling paste on paper or canvas for lots of texture. Cut the design out after it dries and add to the front." ~Gerry
