Today we have a beautiful mixed-media project by our very own Marie-Nicolas Alliot in France.
If you have never worked with mixed media you need to grab some of Prima's MM products! Our canvas pieces have a beautiful resist pattern, along with a whole variety of MM books, inserts and tags!
Marie-Nicolas even provided some FABULOUS tips on how to re-create this look!
Today, I will show you how I customize a Mixed-Media Book; covers and inside.
To stain the cover: I use a color spray (Glimmer Mist or Dylusions.) I love the bright colors! After, I add some splashes with black china ink (India Ink.) China Ink is a very saturated black ink and adds lots of boldness. Now I just add some Prima flowers & crystals to complete my covers!
Inside Pages: Use watercolor to paint some of the inside canvas pages.
Then add some stamping with Prima's stamps and Chalk Edgers.
Masking with Prima's new masks is FUN! Try a variety of art mediums with your mask. After masking add your titles-My titles are cut with my Silhouette Cameo from paper. (Use whatever color you love.)
If you have a die-cut machine you can make some custom touches. I added some die cut shapes that I made with my Silhouette Cameo on this inside page.
I also added LOTS of masking with Prima's masks!
Just pull out ALL of your art mediums and have fun with them! Prima's MM inside pages are perfect for trying new products and techniques.
After coloring just add some embellishements : Prima flowers, wood buttons and crystals are perfect! Little things like these will customize this album. :-) Marie-Nicolas
