| Colorful Canvas Tote on LWP! »
Today is the wrap-up to our month long blog hop with Faber-Castell. Our teams had such a great time creating for the hop and hoped you all enjoyed joining in on the fun. To close out the blog hop, we have a few projects to to share with you as well as the winner to our blog hop! What better way to break up the week.
First we have this bold and colorful layout created by the lovely Ms. Leslie Ashe. Leslie uses the Gelatos on Prima's resist canvas to add color to her page.
Here is a little bit from Leslie about her page:
I decided to get bold & have FUN with Faber-Castell goodies on this page. I used the Gesso as a background – to tone my bright paper down just a little bit. Then I used a Prima brick mask & colored between the “mortar” with gelato’s. I also used the gelato’s to color my resist canvas flowers, then used the artist pen to blend it all together for a fun watercolor, artsy effect.
Our next Prima/Faber-Castell project was created by the artistic Heidi Kelley.
Heidi tells us how she went about decorating this beautiful journal:
Altering items with art mediums is made so much fun with Faber Castell! I was able to color the cute Prima birdhouse shabby chic treasures with the Pitt Pastel pencils, blending as I went, and then highlighting with the Gelato stick. I also used gesso to highlight the Alla Prima paper background, and then colored with the Pitt Pastel pencil in random places. I then used a bit of bead gel and molding paste, let dry, and then once again highlighted the peaks with the Gelato stick and Big Brush pen! The metal trinket also took the color from the Big Brush pen, making it look rustic and sunshiney :)
This amazing banner was created by the even more amazing Cari Fennell. Cari uses the Donna Downey canvas banners to create this "Fun" piece.
Here are a few steps from Cari on how she created this beautiful project:
This last layout is the work of the talented AnnaMarie Mondro. AnnaMarie uses a softer color palette showing you can combine Prima and Faber-Castell and get any color scheme.
AnnaMarie said that using the Faber-Castell art mediums made her step out of her comfort zone. Any style can use these mediums without intimidation.
What a great blog hop and so much fun to be able to win such great prices! My absolute favourite technique is the amazing gelatos for backgrounds and coloring flowers, resist and so much more! I've already ordered them and can't wait to start playing around with them!Thank you all for showing so much creativity and amazing inspiration! Love it!Cecilia
