Using Prima's Flocked Rub-Ons...

Hello everyone! Today I would share an idea for Prima flocked rub-ons! This is one of my favorite Prima products and I was delighted when I saw in the latest Prima release flocked rub-ons in a cream color - it's definitely something for me! I think all shabby chic delicate accessories admirers will love them!

I love to use them directly on my projects, but recently I thought it worthwhile to use them in other ways, which I want to tell. It is important that we can use not only flocked rub-ons, but also remnants of it! It sounds a bit like a "green project", so it is worth to use, I think.

In every new collection we can find flocked rub-ons - sheet full of fantastic, delicate patterns! Do not be confused with a yellow color - is the color of the adhesive layer, right side of rub-ons is a beautifuly creamy and the texture is absolutely wonderful.

1. First using small scissors, cut out the selected patterns - this time there are small round flowers and a small twig/leaves.
   
2. Then I chose a pale paper as a backdrop to my rub-ons, this is one of the Ledger paper pad.
   
3. Applying flocked rub-ons is very easy - you can use the attached stick or old credit card, I discovered that well-suited to this is acrylic stamp pad.
   
4. When we are sure that the pattern adheres well - carefully detach the foil surface.
   
5. And now, beware! Do not throw away the rest! We can also use it in our project! This thin  foil with delicate layer of flock also is interesting! Just cut off the unnecessary excess, align the edges and ... put them on later.

I decided to make two similar tags - In first I applied right rub-ons, but applied to the extra layer of paper and adhere using 3d foam tape. In the second tag as a decoration I applied white residues.

Here are my two tags in action - first - blue one is a gentle, reminds me of the wedding or baby birth, and the second - in the warmer colors - reminds me of a beautiful wedding anniversary. Also suitable for the current autumn season.

I have combined patterned papers from both the Romantique and Londonerry collections with pretty doilies that were cut from Prima acrylic packaging . 

The Romantique Estella patterned paper which I have used for base is gorgeous.

 I'm not sure which side I love more - the beautiful rose blooms or the soft,delicate reverse.  For this layout I have used the reverse.  The border around the edge is so pretty, and I just couldn't cover it up.  

To keep it 'soft' and to add just a touch of texture and subtle border , a Prima mask was used with texture paste and then lightly misted.  

A Bretton Vine has been layered with Splendor Leaves and an assortment of new and older blooms.

I also had some more 'twisty fun'.  A 'Pastel Twister' was used to create antenna's for a die cut butterfly and it's flight path.   

To coordinate, I painted white alphabet stickers with glimmer mists.

Next, I have a little 'love' to share with a card created for someone special.

Sweet Pixie Glen has been combined with a Vintage Treasure resin.

The resin Old Church Window sets the scene with pretty blooms added for a touch of sweetness.

The base for the card was created from a block from the Dartmoor paper - I found it the perfect size for creating a pretty card front.

Different patterned papers from the same collection have been layered with some decorative punched edges and die cut frame incorporated to add interest and texture.

  I love to cluster and layer embellishments and this time 'Resistant Canvas' from the Londonerry collection have been layered with a Bretton Script Vine, coordinating blooms and resin .  Some of the canvas elements were left 'natural' or lightly colored to add softness.

October is the month of my son's birthday. He became 4 years old. In my blog post this month, I would like to introduce what I made for him.

First is a flower basket made for his celebration.

After setting up oasis foam (used for flower arrangements) inside the basket, I used a lot of Prima Classics to decorate it. I just love the wires on the flowers which can move to any directions.

Since my son is still only 4 years old, he is so sweet. This is a creation that expresses his sweetness.

Next, I made the canvas album in commemoration of his birthday.

I used mask, mists, gesso for the canvas.

Of course I used a lot of flowers too. And that is a LOT of flowers!! lol

Because I wanted to use many flowers on this project, the album became considerably thick!!!

I think it kind of looks like a bouquet..... lol

Fairytale Time

 

Join us for a fairytale adventure Prima-style all created by our talented designer: Heidi Kelley!

Hi friends! It's that time of year again... everywhere that I look I see enchanting colors and little ones getting caught up in the magic within the air.

Around my house, I have had 10 years of girlish, whimsy each Halloween and I think that those times are beginning to end. (My girls are beginning to enter their tweens and soon my boys will begin their dressing up journey! I am guessing that the days of butterflies, fairies, and princesses will be over, lol.) So when my youngest daughter asked me to make her into the most "beautiful of all fairies" for this year's festivities, I was extremely excited!

Creating this costume could not have been easier, especially when it came to making her crown and adorning her skirt with Prima bling and blossoms!

 

The combination of colors that I put into making her skirt just beckoned to be paired with some of the new Prima flowers, especially the Le Coque "Windsor" flowers. I will admit to now wanting one of these crowns for myself! (I might look a tad silly, however, preggo and all, dressed up like her!)
