We always love to share what the design team has been up to. Today, we have two very talented ladies sharing some of their projects made with our newest collections. First up is Leslie Ashe...
Leslie is going to share some great tips and techniques on how she made this lovely layout. We just love the colors and textures!
I opened my bottle of spray mist and just let it drip on my page in various spots. Using 3D adhesive, you can lift your felt embellishment and photo for a more dimensional effect.
I used a border punch on 2 sheets of patterned paper (after using spray mist). I turned one upside down and placed it on top of the other so that the border punch would appear on both sides of the paper. This makes for a very nice border.
Placing crystals on your page really adds a lovely effect. Here, I took my pen and dotted around to make it pop off the page.
Just another tip -
I used paint on my mask for this layout. While it was still wet, I used spray mist over the entire page. This made the paint shimmer more once it was dry. Also, I placed buttons on all of the clocks on this page for a fun look.

Next, we have an amazing mixed media project from Anne Jo Lexander...
I'm a big fan of adding personal touches to small favors.
It doesn't really have to cost you that much - only what you already do have stashed in your scrapbook-supplies and/or pantry. Take this box - it's an empty cardboard box that was used to contain nuts. Its inner walls were lined with foil which made it easily cleanable with a damp cloth, and the nut did not leave any strong odours so it was perfect for my purpose: gifting this box filled with coarse ground coffee grains along with two cups of french press cups!
I used the Printery paper collection for this box, mellowing out the blackness some with white paint randomly added then wiped off the paper. I then built a focal point with a die cut piece of chipboard, felt leaves and a white flower, before adding more paperflowers and leaves to the centre.
It was all hot glued onto the box.
I wanted the box to be as practical as possible, yet somewhat decorative. Hence the simple top made of paper.
Thanks for looking!
