Hello, Trudi here!
I have two projects to share with you today. As Prima has teamed up with Tattered Angels this month, both feature a touch of Tattered Angels mediums and a whole lot of Prima 'loveliness'.
First up, a layout created with the gorgeous Alla Prima Collection with a hint of Printery and also a little background history behind the photo.
Presently, my eldest girl 'Miss E' is going through a stage where she likes to 'ham it up' whenever the camera comes out. Quite often my photos will look like this one...
....Or my personal favorite - the tough look
However, in a rare moment, I may 'score a keeper' as they say...
The photo has been cropped tight to remove the background distractions of a 'food court' as we refer to them in my part of the world. I also wanted to focus on the faces and expression of my two girls.

The background patterned paper is Alla Prima 'Low Key'.
An area behind the photo was first masked with Tattered Angels 'Coffee Shop' and 'Trunk Bay' Glimmer Mists and a Prima 8" x 8" circular mask - I used #545574.
You can see some of the masking peeking out in the above photo.
Essentials flowers have been layered with hand cut elements and a variety of other pretty Prima blooms including Gillian and Angelica, Avon, Coventry, Lilliput, Love Letter and Sherwood Roses.
A little butterfly magic has also been included - the one featured is from the Meredith Kiwi collection.
A Pastel Twister has been incorporated to create a butterfly flight path.
I also have a little altered bird cage and stand to now share with you .
The colors for this were inspired by this months Prima Product Pick and Palette.
The bird cage started out as 'bare' chipboard.
To create a similar shabby rustic appeal on chipboard, I have included a small step by step.
First cover the chipboard with white medium - I used texture paste. To add some extra detail, stipple the surface. Allow to dry
Place a Prima mask over the area you wish to add the masked detail and spray with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Allow to dry.
Now you can leave it at this point
Or you can take it a step further by adding more rustic appeal as I have done with the walnut ink crystals - Acknowledgement to Rachelle Minett who introduced me to walnut ink crystals and this particular technique.
Sprinkle Walnut Ink Crystals sprinkled randomly over the top of the cage, the top, base and table of the pedestal stand. Spritz with water and I have allowed them to 'run'.
Areas where there is too much concentration of color, blot with absorbent toweling. More water can also be added to further dilute.
More depth was added round the bars of the cage and corners, with a paint brush and a liquid solution of Walnut Ink Crystals and water.
Once dry, the cage and stand were embellished with some Prima loveliness.
Starting with an 'Alyssa' Bretton Vine which was weaved around the outside and top of the pedestal stand.
Before attaching, the vine was altered first by lightly sprayed with Tattered Angels 'Coffee Shop' Glimmer Mist.
Blooms and hand cut patterned paper butterflies were randomly affixed.
A resin bird from the 'Garden Well' pack has been affixed to the open door of the cage. A 'Sparrow' Cradle awaits inside the cage for 'her' to come and rest upon.
Some of the new gold tassel trim was applied around the bottom edge of the cage. To 'age' the gold toning of the trim, 'Coffee Shop' Glimmer Mist was lightly spritzed before attaching.
The cage hangs and has been attached to the pedestal stand with the assistance of Prima Glitter Twister - the end was left and then twisted to add to the decoration.
