The workshop is titled, "Canvas Creations". Sign up today!
Well that did it. Now I'm all Inspired to play with these iron-on and canvas products.
So I pulled out the instructions and began to play.
First, I wanted the small blue flowers to overlay onto my dressform and onto the canvas page as well. In order to do this, I needed to trace the dressform onto the iron-on and cut out the part that would be ironed onto the dressform.
When you trace on the wrong side of the iron-on, the lines will not show up on your final design. The design is opaque, so no pencil or pen lines will show. That makes it easy to trace and cut an intricate design.
The two pieces need to be applied seperately, because the key to an iron-on transferring to the surface is smooth, even pressure.
Want to see how it's done?
So that was easy!
I hope you enjoyed the Iron-On techniques I've shown today.
And now, to add to the fun...simply leave a comment on this blog post for your chance to win a prize. We will randomly choose a winner on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010. Open to North America only due to shipping costs, but approx. every 5 weeks or so we will host a worldwide drawing.
